    Are you really putting Iowa in the Illinois category? You are very foolish if you are doing that. Big difference playing in Iowa City at night as opposed to Champbana at any time.

    Remember the prime time game we played against Wisky a few years ago? We ended up blowing them out.

    I can really see us blowing up Iowa like that this weekend.

    This. Home field advantage is only good as the team on the field. For a recent example. OSU's defense sucked just as much at night as it does during the day.

    And from a person who has been aat numerous Illinois and Iowa games as a recruit and spectator, I assure you there is a vast difference.

    I don't question the "toughness" of playing in Kinnick compared to Memorial Stadium and it being a night game compared to a noon game, like that at Illinois. I understand it's a night game and those are always more difficult. I understand that it's a road game and it will be cold. I understand that it's Iowa and we haven't be able to beat them in Iowa City since what 1999 and for whatever reason we just can't beat Iowa much at all, even at home. I think the tide has turned in our favor though. We have a new coach and staff that will allow these guys to play loose and NOT close to the vest like we've seen SOO many times this past decade in big games. We have a offense that is hitting it's stride and an Iowa team that I honestly don't think is all that good at all.

    I still stand by my statement that PSU will win in a blowout. I'm entitled to that opinion. If we don't blow them out then so be it. If we do blow them out like I think we will, great. I won't be thumping my chest about it because that's not my style. I'm just stating my opinion that I'm entitle to.

  • You did two things that I addressed:

    1. Alluded that it was just the former staff that held us up in these situations and that was the only reason. It happens all over. I too think this staff will be 100x better in this situation. But the switch alone doesn't guarantee a thing until we see it.

    2. You brought up Illinois like it proved something. They aren't anything alike. You don't like getting flack for it, look in the mirror.

    Which is funny cus I'm actually fun in real life. An asshole sometimes for sure, but I love joking and having fun.

    But something about some of these people on here. Idk man, homers really just drive me nuts in all facets of life.

    I'm not confirming or denying that I watch this show, or that I think Zooey Deschanel is sneaky hot, but if I did watch this show, I'd have to say this is a pretty good analogy.

    And MTayl knows he's one of my favorites.

    We better not be close with Iowa. Everybody who says they play physical is just saying nicely that they are slow. If we play like we have been, this game should be a blowout.
