Listening to SVP and he has very sound analysis on the Maryland move. I like him and he has been historically kind to Penn State and used to post on TOS.

Basically said that ppl that are against the move are holding onto something that died long ago. Basketball was always a home/home series with their rivals and now only have that with Pitt(new proclaimed rival they could care less about) and another school.
Says the $ figures the Big 10 was throwing around will never be known but Maryland needs the money. It made it impossible to walk away.
Much more and hope I got the basics right.

Van Pelt was a dick head when PSU started to raid Maryland recruiting wise. He was on the UMD board making his comments about that known. He isn't that kind.

Watching BTN Network press conference and did not know that some of their higher ups are Big 10 school alumni or worked there including previous Ohio State president.
CIC for academic reasons.

Did not know that... He is a fan first and I respect that about him. I think that may have been after the ALE recruitment when their noses were rubbed in it badly.

Surprised they asked Erickson. I just figured the thought was that he would agree to anything.

Wallace Loh, Maryland University President alludes that intense negotiations for 2 1/2 weeks.
Jim Delany- UM not included in discussions when Nebraska was added. He does sound well spoken although I bet his speaks like a sailor when discussing Penn State. No offense to sailors in that last remark.

I've seen him stand up for PSU on numerous situations over the past year (when hardly anyone else would). Even dating back to that 2006 recruiting class, I remember him stopping by the BWI board to share some nice & thoughtful words about the Aaron Maybin pickup for PSU. All stuff that was very classy which he absolutely didn't have to take the time to share.
