Just got off the phone with a friend of mine who is a GA at Rutgers. He said he's going in to the office now and that Schiano has been out of the office all week. He said he interviewed for the St.Louis job already and that his dream job is to be the next Giants coach. He knows that he may have to take a lower tier NFL job first. Also he said Schiano is not the impressive recruiter that it is Jeff Halsey?(going by phone). I'll look it up in a minute. He's the OC and said he is a beast on the recruiting trail and that Rutgers would make him HC and he would most likely be able to retain most of the recruits.

but i think he takes a bad rap..even on this board.. he took THE worst school in the Worst confrence, with tough academic standards and made then at least decent.. then toss in his NFL sucess of his players (Rice, Leonard, Davis, McCourty's, Britt, Foster, Westerman) ....
