Sandusky

  • Looks like we may be hearing more about Sandusky soon:

  • There is absolutely nothing in that article than a rehash of what's already been reported, with the exception of the philly.com guy saying "hey, someone might ask Paterno about it tomorrow".

My thoughts as well. Joe will also use his form of "no comment" on the question, so this was just a waste of time for the author. Joe will walk out of that media room before answering any questions on the situation.

  • Yeah, that sounds about right.

If he ever is indicted on any of these charges would the NCAA be involved or is this strictly a criminal matter? Not like we'd have to worry about and NCAA investigation turning up anything.

I don't know anything about it, but if Sandusky is guilty, anyone at PSU who knew and covered up anything must be fired on the spot!

Ya because we aren't a big enough program for the NCAA to look the other way and give us a slap on the wrist. Man I hate osu.

  • Pretty weak reason to drag this back into the news.

I also don't understand why this is being brought up. 18 months of Grand Jury investigation and nothing has been decided... if something is decided then it is news. I thought it was irresponsible of the Patriot News to run their story and will be interested to see if nothing is found in this Grand Jury investigation if they publish the outcome with as much zeal.

The other thing that I don't understand is why this has anything to do with PSU. Sandusky was employed by the school and he was accused while he was still employed by them. Nothing came of that investigation and He left the school shortly after. Now (how many years later) he is accused again while he works with a charity that works with kids. They have taken a year and a half and not come to a decision on whether to indict this man. If anything this would reflect poorly on the charity that Sandusky created. How does Joe and PSU staff have anything to do with this. The police investigated the first charges and asked the child's mother not to talk to the press... what does the school have to do with any sort of cover-up in an investigation. Are the original charges which were thrown out actually playing into this second case (except for the obvious - this guy was accused before we better take a good long look at this)?

  • Does this guy honestly believe that Joe would actually respond to the question if asked?

  • No kidding. Do people actually think Jerry S was running around bragging about this as well in HV? This has nothing to do with the NCAA nor is anyone guilty of anything just yet...but let's make that jump now. Honestly these message boards at times are worse than chics in a salon. If Jerry was in the wrong, he should be locked up...the end.

  • McKee's job is to write a column that stirs controversy. Anyone with half a brain would know that Joe would never answer that question regardless of what he did or did not know. No one would... it would be one of the most inapporopriate acts that someone would make. This article truely is pointless.

  • lol. Just thought it was interesting someone was trying to resurrect Sandusky and the alleged JoePa connection again. We can go back to bashing the staff and "lessor" recruits now. Sorry I mentioned it.

  • It's great to finally get Camren Williams on board.

  • I am clearly missing something. The police investigation in 1998 resulted in no charges. 1) Where is the cover up when authorities felt that there was no case? 2) How is this an NCAA matter? I've read and re-read pretty much every story that's been printed on the matter and still fail to find answers to these two questions.

I find the whole thing fascinating and am completely interested in the outcome. I would expect more news sooner, rather than later.......................

  • The story is really crazy, I've talked to a person whom won't be named and was specially told not to talk to the media.....

I really hope the stuff isn't true, because if so it's really really sad.
