Crisotbal's career record is 24-38 (18-20). Even if you take away his 1-11 (1-6) season in 2007, his career record is still 23-27 (17-14). Considering that FIU plays in the Sun Belt conference and can recruit Florida athletes, that's a fairly pedestrian record. He needs to prove himself at a good Big East or CUSA program before he's ready for a big-time job in the Big Ten, SEC, or ACC.
With all that said, I do think Cristobal is one of the better young coaches in college football, so he is a very good hire for Rutgers, especially after Schiano left at this stage of the off-season, and the transition should be easy because Cristobal was on Schiano's original staff at Rutgers in the early 2000s.

Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen
