I wish they would link him and his second mile kick backs so people could truly see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Unfortunately the people that have made up their mind about Paterno will either ignore the article or not even see the article.
Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen

All we need now is to know who made Ray go missing and what was on that hard drive.
Anyone ever wonder if Ray was placed into Witness Protection or faked his own death?

I never once said Paterno was free of guilt. I thought you and I were on the same page as this.
Joe without a doubt failed to do enough. Everyone has various degrees of guilt, some more so than others. I just wish that some people would take things like this into consideration when judging him,

Understand now. I misread your previous post.
The problem with Joe is that the vast majority of PSU fans viewed him as some kind of deity and not as a mortal man who makes mistakes like the rest of us. So those who viewed him like that won't accept any wrong doing and they infuriated other fan based over the years with how they portrayed him as a deity imo thus what we saw from many when this broke.

I am curious as to what more he could have/should have done?
Per PA law, and Penn State policy, he reported it to his superiors. Had he not done that and gone right to the police, not only does he get terminated immediately, but he also is subject to severe fines and jail time. He reported it to his superiors as per the laws set forth by Harrisburg and the PSU Board of Governors.
After he reported it, what should have have done? Go to the cops? What would they tell him? By law, they can't tell him a damn thing. Should he have called the State Police? The State Police is going to come in, go to the UP police, and ask them what they know. UP PD says, we are investigating, and so far not enough evidence is there to pursue this. State Police says, ok, and leaves it at that. Now, as we all know there was no investigation done because Gary Schultz did not find enough credibility to launch an investigation, but somehow, Joe gets labeled, "should have done more". I went to a job interview yesterday and realized that I forgot my wedding band and my portfolio of resume's. I should have done more, perhaps I should have put them in my car prior to me leaving.
Too many people are taking Joe's, "In hindsight, I wish I would have done more" as an admission of guilt. The reality is, for all we know he's saying, I wish I would have seen the signs from Jerry and perhaps I could have done something to prevent this.
I am by no means a Joe Paterno apologist, but there are very strong boundaries as to what someone can do once they report this up to their superiors, especially in the State of Pennsylvania.
