Enjoyed the interview. Nothing earth shattering really.
Says he is not touching the Uni's..adamant on that. Shows unity and he even paraphrased the opening of the Penn State football Story in describing the "college football's most distinctive uniforms". :)
Talked about the doing things he feels are important. Olympic weight lifting and Fitzy(and his staff) and how much he made him a priority.
Making changes without disruption(me paraphrasing but that is how I took it)
Thing Joe asked him when they talked on the phone after hiring was to Graduate players and play smart tough football. I believe that is certianly his intent.
Dinardo mentioned he was strong in his conviction to really hit recruiting in his post interview comments on the show.

Considers coaching fun. Doesnt feel pressure replacing Joe, as Joe cant be replaced. His wife has the pressure raising the kids, he has the fun job coaching.
Enjoys working with the kids and staff.
Calls the Penn State facilities/program/town/etc, one of the Jewels of college football.

Thanks for the quick rundown of what was said, fellas.
I think two things are apparent with Bill O'Brien at the helm now, he's taking recruiting extremely serious (which is a good thing) and the change in S&C philosophy will go a long way and getting this team and program back to the top of college football.

Prabably around 10 for the replay of the show. I would guess the interview was about 15 mins in as well.

That's great to hear. That goes a long way with the vibe amongst the staff, recruits, the players on the team, media, etc.

He speaks very highly of Fitzgerald, saying no matter where he got a head coaching job, he wanted him to be part of his staff. He said those guys spend more time with the players then the coaches do, and while the strength program is important at the NFL level, it is even more important in college. I'm looking forward to seeing what it all looks like on the field!
