She seems like she is a pretty good soccer player. Is on the US U-20 Woman's National Team (previously was on the US WNT U-17), and according to her BC bio.
Also, is this not a playoff game? How do soccer playoffs work? If BC loses tomorrow are they done?

Yup. It's the NCAA tournament and it's one and done.
To BC's credit, they took immediate action. The BC AD personally called the Penn State coach, apologized, and told her that McCaffrey was suspended for today's game.
That's a pretty strong reprimand in a very important game for BC and should send a message to the rest of their athletes.

What she needs to understand, the whole world will notice her comments if they are as ill-advised as these were. When used improperly, social media comes back and haunts you. Future employers can check out your comments to a degree. You never know who is watching.
This is a lesson for the kids her age that need to understand the dangers of it. This is why I won't allow my son to Tweet.
