Thanks for posting the article. Unfortunate for Cherry, would probably be tough to evaluate him from the QB position. Hopefully he can still get film to the staff. Maybe the coaches could visit again, but given the limited time they have to make visits, I doubt they want to go to the same place twice unless they really like a kid.

Full me if I am missing something here.

1) running back depth is obviously important, look at what's happened this year, rb's always get hurt, it's the nature of the game.
2) we clearly wanted a rb because we were all over David Williams earlier.
3) with sanctions Clay is the best we are going to get this year.

So why are we waiting to offer this kid? It doesn't make sense to me.

He's putting up some stellar numbers against AAAA schools in the state of PA. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that LC just moved up from AA to AAA too so they are playing with the big boys now and putting up some phenomenal numbers in doing so.

Well that's the thing, McDowell is the top AAAA school in the state right now. If he puts up great numbers in that game, everybody is "wowed" and going "OMG this kid is about to break out his senior year." Since he didn't put up great numbers vs. the #1 ranked AAAA school in the state, people have question marks. I really don't understand that line of thinking, but that's just me. What good does it do when you have someone like Anzalone playing at AA putting up insane numbers vs. AA competition? Regardless of that, Clay is still a gamer and deserves an offer. I think he fits the mold at RB for our style of offense too.
