Agreed. The kid wants to come for the OSU game, why tell him you would rather him come a different weekend? With this 2013 class i dont feel liek the staff is in a position to be picky or demanding of recruits.

Sean - any chance the staff is not as hot on Neiko as they used to be? I realize that Roof just visited. Was that the purpose of his trip down there or was it a stop-by tacked on to a different trip?

We never had a commitment from neiko. you cant miss something you never had. if he comes to psu, great, but if not , im not losing sleep over it. if he thinks minnesota was a great time, let him come for the ohio st & see a real game atmosphere.

That he really is not committed and wants PSU to hold his scholarship just in case he doesn't want to go somewhere else on February 2nd. Minnesota, really??? They have about as much of a chance at a National Championship as PSU over the next four years. Not to mention their head coach is taken to the hospital what seems to be every other week.

I suppose that can be taken as arrogant, sorry if it is. But I have a general low tolerance for stupidity. And when he committed and then talked about going to visit FSU, Sean and staffers from the South told us that this was normal. That "committed" to Southern kids was different than what we were used to, and in the future expect them to take their visits and have to continue to recruit in case they don't stick. We were told that. Now he is taking visits and people are shocked and apalled and surprised. Come on.

I don't like it any more than anyone else here, but we saw it coming.
