Just not sure I buy the players finding out like this. I have a hard time believing they wouldn't ensure the players found out first before the public.

There's no question in my mind that its true and a done deal. Just by the fact that players are started to tweet. Im sure they didn't hear from ESPN first, some ppl don't wanna believe it. But why tell your team you have found the guy, and it gets aired on national network. And then turn around and hire someone else 2days later. Wouldn't be fair to the players.

Sorry 85 - Afraid (but not surprised in the least!!) that this is EXACTLY how things played out!! No player meetings called (as some other posts may have implied/stated), no advance notice of weekend "announcements" to be made......Nada. Not saying this has anything to do with the new guy, but it is how things were handled by the current crew in charge.

I seriously would not blame all of the players if they transferred. At this point, I wouldn't even want to play for a University that would conduct themselves this way....even AFTER the scandal broke.
- Take forever to hire a coach
- Keep quiet to EVERYONE about it...even the players who have dealt with a ton all season
- Now have it leak in the last hour, without even having the decency to ensure the current coaches and players knew FIRST.
