good to hear...seems like a recruiting violation waiting to happen. PSU is especially in a position that we need to be proactive with these types of things, not reactive.

I was just about to say the same thing... eerily similar with the guy at OSU and Breneman and Hackenberg have both retweeted Picca lately. I believe AB did an interview with him or something last week...

While I absolutely agree, this is a trickier situation. The guy involved at OSU was convicted 5x and a registered sex offender. Picca/PSUisBack, to my knowledge, has never been convicted of any crimes.

Every fan base has its psychos chasing recruits and players on Twitter and Facebook. If my son was a D-1 recruit, I would tell him to ignore fans that want to be his "friend" on Facebook or "follower" on Twitter.

Don't try and rationalize it... there are no allegations of the principal doing anything inappropriate with students, and certainly nothing about the principal reaching out to "help" recruits get scholarships, etc... the principal is irrelevant.

If you were around when PiB went bezerk in 2007 following the UM game.. you will know why some, like WSM, have been concerned about this guy for a while now. Absolutely nothing good can come from this, period.

PiB, or PennState is Back...
Posted on TOS 5-6 years ago... claimed he knew alot of the recruits from the MD area that were in the Maybin class... I believe he claimed to be "friends" with D-WIll from the class prior as welll... I don't recall all the particulars, but seemed like it started innocent enough at first... had some "inside" info at the time, into the recruitment of kids in the DMV... got carried away with it, and I believe it escalated and erupted with a complete meltdown after PSU went in the turtle shell and lost to UM in the Big House in 2007', he just went ape shit... I believe it got him band, then he came back with another alter ego, and got outed pretty quick... hadn't heard much from him until recently someone posted an article a month or so ago on this site regarding the allegations at his school...
If you search and find his twitter... its bizarre, the logo for his "recruiting" service has him with his arms raised like he is jesus christ, with his name in HUGE letters above his head... he also has a post with a pic of himself standing beside Cameron Wake, with a tweet to Wake congratulating him on the new contract, saying "next time you buy lunch", like they are really buddies or something... freakin weird dude.

except alert their student athletes after the individual comes too close and tampering becomes an issue, like OSU did. As long as we keep alerting compliance to these people, they will be the ones responsible for keeping these people away from our student-athletes and making sure no rules are broken. Just like this Waugh guy, all it takes is one "fan" to contact these guys and buy them lunch (like Waugh did with a couple players) for it to become a violation. The fact these guys have past history's of child assault issues/accusations that have been documented just further raises more red flags. It becomes even more concerning when an individual like this tries to start his own "recruiting service" when it's pretty well documented he is a HUGE PSU fan that contacts our own recruits all the time. Doesn't hurt to alert the proper people whenever something is suspected of being a bit off so we can avoid an OSU situation down the road.

I think the most intriguing thing about PiB was how he used pictures to give hints on verbals and such. Never forget that.
