My guess is that PSU self imposed most of the penalties coming tomorrow, and the NCAA accepted. That was the rumor late in the week. I am thinking Bob and staff reached out to the current commits and let them know what was coming, which is why you see Douglass and Webb looking elsewhere. Webb is gone and Douglas is next. There wont be much of a class when its all said and done, IMO.
You heard Erickson in November talk about taking a step back from being a football school. The media has bullied the school all the way, we have messed up handling this thing from the start, and tomorrow you will see the NCAA and Erickson follow through with that statement. Schollies, bowl bans, money, ect. We will find out soon what is worse than the death penalty.
I am checking out for a while. THis whole thing is sad, and its about to get sadder. This really had little to do with football program, which is sad for the kids here now. It was a fantastic 3-4 months looking forward to something new, to be moving forward, to see this new staff recruiting with the big boys......all that is about to fall apart. Disheartening in every way.
