Todd thanks for the info. Good stuff. Could you talk about the receivers a bit. I'm sure Iowa fans wished McNutt would have eligibility remaining, but it appears Davis and KM-M are off to solid starts. Could you give us an appraisal of those two and shed some light as to why Vandenberg only has two TD tosses. Is that more on him, or on the receivers?
Thanks

Thanks for reading!
McNutt was an outstanding player, and Iowa certainly hasn't found a way to replace him. Last year, Davis was the number two receiver, while Martin-Manley was the number three receiver. I think they're both very good in those roles, but with McNutt gone, they're now asked to be number one and number two, respectively. They're not bad by any means, but they're also not standouts in these new roles either.
Davis is a big-bodied guy that's had a knack for making big plays at times in the past. He's a good all-around receiver, but I don't think he's necessarily great in any specific area (hands, explosiveness, sudden-ness, top-end speed, etc).
Martin-Manley is more of a slot receiver in terms of his physical attributes. He's more sudden and more explosive than Davis, and is tough enough to make plays over the middle. But he's not as much of a weapon in traffic due to his size.
One guy to watch that can be a major matchup advantage for Iowa is CJ Fiedorowicz, the starting tight end. He's 6-6 or 6-7 with long arms, and very athletic for his size. The Hawkeyes haven't been able to get him as involved in the offense as they'd like to yet, but his emergence could really help the passing game come along.
As I've mentioned in some previous posts, the struggles Iowa's passing game has had are due to a variety of factors - the receivers, the loss of McNutt, Vandenberg, struggles in pass protection, the new offensive system, etc. For whatever reason, Vandenberg just doesn't look as comfortable this year, and I think that's due to all of the factors I listed.
Vandenberg has taken a ton of heat from Iowa fans. While some of it does have some merit, I think the other factors I mentioned are getting a free pass, and that Vandenberg hasn't played as badly as other people think he has.

Thanks!
As I mentioned in some other posts, I think Vandenberg has taken too much heat from Hawkeye fans this year. He clearly has room for improvement in his game, but I don't think the passing game's struggles are even close to all his fault. I don't think he fully trusts his offensive line or his receivers yet, and he and his teammates are also trying to adjust to a new offensive system. Not easy for a fifth year senior to lose three offensive linemen to the NFL, including both tackles, lose the best receiver in school history and try to acclimate himself in a new offense.
I've addressed the defense and special teams in other posts.
And I feel like I'm missing out on an inside joke with this scandal. Can you elaborate?

Todd.... Here is my ground breaking story and reporting... it now has taken The head coach of Illinois Tim Beckman into its never ending web of awfulness... rumors of Kiffin's wife as well.
What are you hearing in regards to this?
"Title": "Anyone hear this rumor about Emmertt?"
"Now I don't have all the facts but I'm going to judge him anyway...
Rumor is he does "donkey" shows in Mexico?
How is this sick SOB running the NCAA?? I am fining him 70 million dollars, 4 years no show ban, he loses 15 donkey stalls for 5 years and all his donkeys can transfer to ESPN or the Bob Costas ranch. He needs to focus on getting help not shows."
