Question on single game tickets released by PSU

  • Are these generally pretty good seats? I want to get a couple of seats for the Ohio game and was debating on whether I should wait until the ticket office makes single game available or grab them from some of the random sites offering tickets. I don't want stuck in the upper deck so curious on what anyone thinks the best route is. TIA!

Hard to say. The single game tickets I got last year were on the 40, fairly high though.

Those are the tickets they are having trouble selling as season tickets due to the seat cost.

You might get end zone upper deck, if thats what is left, but there are a lot of seats being sold as singles that are great seats.

But if you are asking for OHIO tickets, you should be able to get great seats. I doubt many of those single seats went to NLC members as "extras". Now OSU, maybe not so much.

  • Any idea when single game tickets are available through the ticket office?

I would like to know this as well. OSU is my birthday weekend and my family wants to come up for the game.

  • Thanks... I wasn't sure what kind of turnout to expect for the Ohio game with it being BOB's first game and over Labor Day Weekend.

Are the company's listing tickets like stubhub and seat geek pretty reliable for receiving valid/non-fraudulent tickets?

  • Stubhub is very reliable. I've sold tickets on stubhub before. You have to give them a credit card if you are a seller in case tickets are bogus, your card gets charged.

I wont worry about getting seats for Ohio, there will be tons available for dirt cheap a week or two before the game on the ticket exchange boards or even stubhub.

Actually, the lack of selling season tickets means less second market sales. There were far fewer tickets in scalpers hands last year then typical, and it may be less this year.

If the ticket never gets purchased, it cannot go on sale on the street!!!

For the Ohio game, first game under OB, tribute to Joe, I would not expect a sellout by any means, but season ticket holders will attend.

Buy them from the ticket office to be safe.

I have to second the idea that the Ohio game may have a surprisingly high turn out due to it being the first game of the new era. Lots of new things happening that we haven't experienced in half a century that people will want to see first hand. I know myself and a bunch of buddies are making this game the one game we get back for this season.
