Question for you guys......from Bama

Hey I was at that game. Game sucked, but I was in a box -- so the free food and beer made it a little better.

Hmmm... You're not "Freddy Rumson" from BWI are you? He claims to live in the "Denver area" and claimed to have been going to that game.

No, I am not him. I was not in a box but on the 50! It sucked because Knarls Barkley had a field day with the CU DB's!

I think BYU looks nice on TV but not having alcohol readily availbale is not fresh!

  • I would have to say army/navy I am going to try to go this year just the tradition alone is enough for me

  • Got to witness a game VaTech game in Blacksburg pretty neat campus buildings all look the same good atmosphere was against a good Miami team in 05'. Some different characters down there though I will admit I dressed neutral of course.

Penn State 7x National Champs, home of the winningest college football coach to ever grace a sideline.

A game at Nebraska is near the top of my list.

    This!!!

If you don't have Lincoln on your to do list of college football visits there is something wrong with you.

    For women:
Texas Tech (although Lubbock is awful and you might get a disease just looking at them)
    Florida State (read ^)
    Arizona State
    Arizona

    Gameday atmosphere:
Oklahoma State (surprisingly nice fans, despite their hatred of my team)
Texas A&M (very impressive, and their fans are delusional enough to actually think their games matter)
    Oregon
    Nebraska

I'd say Nebraska over Oregon, personally, because of the much better tradition and "The Sea of Red" are supposed to be the nicest fans in college football.

I wouldn't ever go there, but I've heard Boise is beautiful.

‏@Cordale10 Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

  • Va Tech is definitely something to see, their entrance is great! A place that suprised me a lot was Purdue, their students were great. They took us from bar to bar, buying us shot after shot.

  • I vowed after 94 to never spend a dollar in Nebraska

  • Army/Navy is a fantastic choice, but I have also heard good things about going to an Army game at West Point. Michie Stadium in mid-October is supposed to be spectacular.

My dad went to USC. I had been when I was younger as well so I knew going in. WVU was surprising to me because the fans were wonderful and Morgantown was a ton of fun.

Been to Boulder many times in my music touring days and it is great, but never for a game. I would like to get to Autzen.

We try to find locals everywhere to show us around and to spend gameday with wherever we go. Met some off message boards lately, but we also get in town the Wednesday before to experience the town as much as possible.

Best tailgating experience was Washington on the lake. Food is hands down, LSU. Women is Ole Miss with Texas a close second out of the places we have been. Game atmosphere is between PSU, Wisconsin, Auburn, and LSU honestly. Of course I have been to those locations many times as well. Went to 5 Wisky games when I was getting my masters there. 5 Bama games in State College. Every Iron Bowl at Auburn except one when my wife was pregnant and a couple games vs other teams. Well into the double digits at LSU.

Favorite towns/cities= Madison, WI; Austin, TX; and Athens, GA.

BetterOff, you mentioned your "music touring days". Just curious how you were involved in the music biz. I, too, had a career in music a lifetime ago and got to see most of Colorado, not to mention the rest of the U.S.

By the way, after enjoying many of your posts on this site, I just have to say you are the hottest dude I've ever seen. You photograph extremely well so whatever you're doing to maintain that level of fitness, keep it up brother!

  • Here's one that's out of left field, but the place is simply amazing. Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, Maryland. That place gives me chills it is so cool. The presences of the Naval Academy and the state capitol pervade every building and person in the town. Trust me, if you go, you won't regret it.

I've been down there for "Crab Fest" in the past. The setting IS really nice and the crabs aren't bad either!

I went through the Navy campus during a tour of Annapolis last April. Beautiful place that just makes you feel good for some reason.

Scottb do you have any idea how many times a year I have to hear "1982..." when I'm wearing a PSU shirt here in Lincoln?
