  • Had a buddy go to Oregon for college, raves about Autzen. Supposedly one of the loudest out there. Also heard great things about BYU.

  • Like others have said, Oregon is high on my list of places.

Edit- Not sure how that ended up as a quote.

What is most important to you guys? Game atmosphere? Tailgating? Beauty of the area? For game atmosphere hands down Oregon. Eugene is kind of a throw back hippie town, but Autzen is the loudest 60,000 people you will ever hear. Just curious, what surprised you about WVU? Stay away from USC, totally not worth it in every way (except the weather).

Edit: I see you've already been to USC.

Colorado, the whole place, is by far the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I would kill to get a job out there.

  • Army/Navy is (or at least was 20 years ago) worth the trip. I've also only heard good things about Nebraska. I'm going to try to make it to Lincoln this year.

My oldest goes to CU. I went to the CU/USC Friday night game this year! Nothing but awesome but I have to admit I live in Golden so it is not bad either!

Hey I was at that game. Game sucked, but I was in a box -- so the free food and beer made it a little better.

Hmmm... You're not "Freddy Rumson" from BWI are you? He claims to live in the "Denver area" and claimed to have been going to that game.

  • ASU and Cal are both cool areas around the campus and great weather...

For Women/scenery - amazingly Louisville and Kentucky are loaded - game day is a dissappointment but the night life sure was not..

Hey it was awesome. Didn't make it down to Boulder, but it was my first time ever seeing the mountains. Elk were bugling the whole time. Effing awesome.

  • I have only been able to attend a few venues but enjoyed them equally. Obviously I enjoy Beaver Stadium. I thought both The Rose Bowl ( vs.USC ) and MSU had pleasant fans and the seating seemed good as well. Hopefully I will be able to further my visits as well.

My dad went to USC. I had been when I was younger as well so I knew going in. WVU was surprising to me because the fans were wonderful and Morgantown was a ton of fun.

Been to Boulder many times in my music touring days and it is great, but never for a game. I would like to get to Autzen.

We try to find locals everywhere to show us around and to spend gameday with wherever we go. Met some off message boards lately, but we also get in town the Wednesday before to experience the town as much as possible.

Best tailgating experience was Washington on the lake. Food is hands down, LSU. Women is Ole Miss with Texas a close second out of the places we have been. Game atmosphere is between PSU, Wisconsin, Auburn, and LSU honestly. Of course I have been to those locations many times as well. Went to 5 Wisky games when I was getting my masters there. 5 Bama games in State College. Every Iron Bowl at Auburn except one when my wife was pregnant and a couple games vs other teams. Well into the double digits at LSU.

Favorite towns/cities= Madison, WI; Austin, TX; and Athens, GA.

lived in athens, ga for a while. never could get a grasp of that place after spending my life in happy valley just about. all the tailgating occurred downtown...just never did anything for me.

I agree. Horrible for gameday, but the rest of the time it's wonderful. Austin is the same way. Tailgating on roads and in parking lots in the Texas heat=miserable.

Yeah, heard the same about Autzen. I know the views at BYU are incredible and only add to the game atmosphere.
