Who is going to make up the two deep at LB next year ?
Right now--
OLB- Fortt, Kline ILB- Carson, Wartman OLB- Hull- Nobody
Williams and Johnson are not day one players. Williams maybe, but we potentially go into next year with four returning running backs, not including Zwinak.
LB is a higher priority because we need them to play immediately.

1) Williams- The #1 Prospect on PSU's Board at RB. A position of need.
2)Johnson- See above.
3)Foster- A top 10 player at any position nationally and a statement recruit for Bob. A play maker at WR and ST for PSU.
4)Boyd- A big time play maker at WR or S.
5)Butler- Smooth CB who could compete for PT immediately.
6)Averett- Good looking DB Prospect who is high on PSU
7)Webb- Top 3 DT on PSU's Board. He has had some glowing things to say about PSU, now staff needs to close the deal.
8)Anzalone- Smart kid and great athlete w/a lot of interest nationally. It would be a feather in our cap if we could win his commitment,
9)Gray- If grades are in order he would be a great pick up at OT.
10)Deeb- Throwback MLB who is strong against the run. It would be fun to pluck him out of ACC/SEC Country.
The next 5 in no particular order...
Lemelle (WR)Drennon (DE) Wilkins (DT/G) Rankin (LB) Hicks (CB)Pipe dream 5- Hargraves (CB) Allen (DE) Vanderdoes (DT) Rolin (LB) Issac (RB)

You can certainly coach up route running (especially if the kid is hard worker). Teaching a kid to catch is a whole different story. If you have bad hands, you have bad hands. Any good coach can make improvements, but if a kid comes in with bad hands, he's probably going to leave with bad hands. Now I have no idea what kind of hands Foster has, and I agree with you in general about Foster, just get him here and deal with whatever issues he may or may not have. He's an explosive athlete, never can enough of those kids.

And Deeb is a mediocre prospect, while Drennon's film is eerily similar to Aaron Maybin's.
I don't get why Drennon isn't ranked higher, but he's an elite football player.
This is kind of like the arguments over the draft. Which is better: taking the best available player or a kid at a position of more dire need. I've always been a best available player type myself.

Yea, which is exactly what you could have said about Aaron Maybin. Yet, three years later, he was our best pass rusher and a top 10 draft pick.
Drennon has the frame. He's never going to be an NFL DE, but he's certainly capable of doing so at the collegiate level. Which, once again, is exactly like Aaron Maybin.
