As are many others for all intents and purposes.

Excited about the prospect of a strong blocking TE. Quarless was a stellar TE and last year a step back from that. Controlling the edge is huge when it comes to keeping your pocket.

Agree with your sentiment about a strong blocking TE, and would add that a strong multi-purpose TE is even better. I just think a "blocker only" type wide body is the best answer to that position. In fact, you bring up AQ and he's a great example - he was actually not that overly great a blocker, but added to that with great routes and pass catching. Oh, and though there's no doubt controlling the edge is a big component to keeping the pocket, so are about ten other things, some even more important! And actually, if you re-watch games from last year, the edge was actually not what hurt either our passing OR running game, for the most part. Did it breakdown at times, in some games - you bet - but what part of our offense didn't? If you really look at the film, both GG and KH held their own on the edge against some pretty damn stellar DE's.
