Our elite universities have shared games, rivalries, wins and loses but no one will understand the loss of your coach like we do. Joe Pa was and will always be a treasured friend and colleague of the University of Alabama.

  • Prayers to the entire Nittany Lion nation. I've always had a special feeling for Penn State since my college days at Bama and we played the 10 year series with Penn State. Classy fan base.

  • I was raised by a father that was a true southern, not in a racist way. But a man that took pride in being from the south and every good thing about it. One of those things was the pride he had in the football the SEC played. I remember clearly one year when I was a kid. My father watching a football game. I don't remember who it was that was playing but it was a SEC team. I asked my dad "who do you want to win" he said Penn State. I asked why them he replied, "Son that's Joe Pa, next to the Bear he's the best" From that day I have always respected Joe Pa.

  • My deepest sympathies to all of the Penn State nation. The 80's were a great time to grow up an Alabama fan not because of winning anything meaningful, we didn't, but because of the wonderful ten year series between our schools. It was always the game I looked forward to more than any game of the season for a decade. The PSU fans were always great to be around at the games I was able to attend in Birmingham and were always respectful of Coach Bryant, the Alabama program and the fans; because of that, I grew up respecting Coach Paterno, the Penn State program and the fans there, and I always will. God Bless Coach Joe Paterno, RIP.
