Quick question. Are there any of you there that are unhappy about the name change this year, or has everyone fallen in line with the administration like it appears to us on the outside?

Mostly all the students that I have talked to still refer to it as Paternoville, including myself. NitneeNut has got the right of it, they can put whatever title they like on it, but it's still gonna be Paternoville. At least for four more years... It seems like the guys that run the thing try to do a lot to keep the administration happy, but if they could choose I bet they personally would have kept the name.

  • The students and Nittanyville generate so much positive energy The students make me proud to be a Penn Stater.. This game and atmosphere has the same feel of the OSU game we attended in 1994. Here's hoping for similar results. That score was 63-14. I really like and support this coaching staff but we are because he was. Try as they might, they can't white out Joepa.

  • "What's in a name? that which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" - Will Shakespeare.

"Nittanyville" will NEVER replace Paternoville. You can call it what you will, but regardless what you "name" it, it always was and always will be Paternoville. Just like you can't pretend that 409 never happened!

Exactly, it is what it is. We all know what Joe did for our school. There is no hiding that! While I've been camping at "Nittanyville" these last few days I've seen pictures of Joe, Paternoville/Paterno shirts, 409 carved pumpkins...you name it. I think most of my fellow students still love Joe and understand that he was a great man that MAY have made a big mistake in his life. There comes a point where we all have lives to keep living. We all need to choose what we believe in and stick with that.

Penn State put up 63 against Illinois in 2005. You just made me pull up the box score for that game. What a massacre.

The thing I remember is Tamba pulling up on the QB. Had he not done so, the Illini QB may have been killed.

One of my favorite stories from him.

Warning: Extreme language, highly condescending to women, and many/most/all will be offended in some way.

Also the previous statement is HIGHLY understated.

    Gotta love Tucker Max.

I had a friend, she was a huge Duke basketball fan...she camped out a few times down there for games and said it was pretty awesome. I don't know if her definition of a goodnight was the same as Tuckers...but maybe.

I looked at them for my MPA or PhD, but the program didn't fit my needs.
