I'd take the two girls to the right of them instead.

I wouldn't kick any of them out of bed for eating crackers........except for the one in the second row, in the middle, with the red thing across her nose. She looks too much like Troy Polamalu....LOL.

That is my name on their tops and no one can tell me any different!!!!

  • UNLV for the road trip
    ND
    VT
    Arizona State
    Washington
    Air Force
    UNC or Duke

  • 1. Georgia- Been 30 years and would further enhance the presence in the state if we could win there
    2. Texas- Long time here since we last played as well, another blue blood program
    3. UCLA- Love the unis and wouldn't be such a bad road trip

  • CU Boulder, because it is there, and it would be an epic weekend...

    edtee

  • Texas or Georgia - Same reasons for both:
Schools with history, tradition and great fans
    Warm weather
Recruiting - Georgia seems to be an area being targeted for now and I would love to get into Texas, esp if Texas could ever make it into the B1G (yeah, yeah I know - whole other conversation....)

  • Well I got my wish with the 4 Pitt games and outside of extending that series I'll move on to my next selections...

    1. Notre Dame (the next worse thing beside a sPitt fan is the average lower middle class Irish catholic ND fan who probably never went to college let alone get into ND but still acts like he's better than you b/c he's a ND fan)
    2. Texas (PSU owes them one for 1969 and I'd like to take a trip to Austin)
    3. Georgia (I'd like to see PSU play the team they beat for one of their national championships and would also like to check out Athens)
    4. Miami (another team that PSU has a history with and the trip to South Beach would be sweet)
    5. USC (A team PSU has some history with and another place I'd like to check out)

If you haven't noticed I based alot of mine selections of places I'd like to visit

No Waters/Ferguson to discuss this week, and we're into bowl season (if you can call some of the games they play this early in December "bowls"), so I figured I'd start a couple of discussions on Penn State football-related topics.

Up first: Which teams would you most like to see show up on Penn State's future non-conference schedules?

This could be an old rival, someone the Nittany Lions have hardly ever or never played or a traditional powerhouse. Suggesting warm-weather teams is fine, as O'Brien said he'd like to do so during the sanction years, but let's try to think long-term as well, since most of the scheduling is done several years in advance.

EDIT: After you choose the team, give a reason why (you've always been irritated by them, you want to see what O'Brien's offense can do vs. their defense, your parents live 20 minutes from their stadium, etc.) If you've already answered, feel free to go back and edit the reason into your post.

As with other polls, I'll keep a running tally and post results every so often. Feel free to mention more than one team in your answer.

Virginia Tech, because my wife and a lot of our friends are Hokies.

Colorado, because I live 1.5 miles from the stadium -- And even though I might be a bit biased, Boulder is an awesome destination.

WVU - old rivalry, close by, major name with national profile, and unlike Pitt they're actually pretty good most years ND - great, great shared history, massive exposure, despise Brian Kelly and would love to see Obie whip him. Va Tech - similar to WVU, without the rivalry. Also consistently over-ranked so would be good to prove that UGA - great fan base, southern exposure for PSU, great road trip to Athens, and there's a shared history to build on Texas - great school with a national profile, Austin is awesome, would be a great match-up of two traditional CFB "elites" that don't have much recent history

Completely concur with everything you said regarding 1-4. Especially the remark regarding VT. Consistently over ranked and I grew up in VA, so I would have to listen to their fans yell Beamer Ball all the time.

  • 1. West Virginia- I almost went to school there and would love the trip down.
    2. Texas- Huge program.. Would love this to be a week one match up.
    3. Auburn- Can't stand that War Eagle crap.

I hate Notre Dame so much that I don't even want to play them... Win or lose their fanbase is still as arrogant as it gets because of what the team did in the 1920s. They claim to be the most established program in the history of college football. Last I checked, ND has 11 titles and Alabama has 14.

  • My first choice would be Georgia due to exposure. Solid team to play early on in the Georgia Dome - Chick-fil-let for everyone.
Second would be Virginia Tech because beating Virginia just isn't good enough to impress recruits in VA.
Colorado- PAC 12 but would love to put a beat down on them for the injustice of Salaam winning the Heisman over Carter and for beating Michigan in '94.
Arizona- It was awesome knocking them silly in '99.
Ole Miss because I am looking for an excuse to take a guys weekend to The Grove.

    Riverhoundz

  • 4 teams we for sure beat x 4 games x 5 years.

Navy in Ireland would be fun too ;)

    PSU17

  • Ole Miss ... I hear the talent is unbeatable!

  • Texas A&M or Texas. Daisy dukes, short skirts, and cowboy boots. Nuff said.

    We Are27731

  • Pitt or WVU... Because I hate both, and for selfish reasons (could easily get to the game that's "away")... And of course getting into Southwest PA/Pittsburgh/WPIAL recruiting grounds would be a beautiful thing. There are a couple of elite kids every year... We need to go get them

  • Arizona-I live in Tucson
Arizona State-same reason, just a longer drive
CU- I used to live there and it's a quick flight

  • One scrimmage: URI, Towson, etc...

Regional rival: Pitt, VA Tech, Maryland or Rutgers... Oh wait (dominate NE/ mid Atlantic)

Destination game: UCLA, SDSU, Colorado, Hawaii, UCF, USF or UNLV (reward game at travel destination)

SEC or ACC: Georgia, Tenn, USC, FSU, Miami, UNC (strength of schedule)

    PennStateFan33

  • Notre Dame - most exposure
Miami - some history there; help w/ recruiting Florida
GT - we want to recruit GA; nice access for our southern east coast alums

    POV

  • LSU- Death Valley meets Happy Valley. They have a live Tiger mascot, we have Craig Fitzgerald.

Miami- sunny South Beach, great history (just ask Jimmy Johnson)

    2. UCLA- a little less hate, I live in SoCal
    3. San Diego State- SoCal
    4. Texas- now is the time to play and beat them, also gives us exposure to the Texas market

  • SEC: Tennessee - My favorite SEC team & would love to attend a game in Neyland.

ACC: Florida State - Always wanted to attend Tallahassee on a CFB Saturday. Plenty of sights to see (if you get my reference).

PAC 12: Oregon - Autzen has a fantastic atmosphere & would like to see Oregon's campus.

Big 12: Texas - It's Texas. Austin is apparently a hell of a good time too.

    Big East: Bwahhhahahahahaha!!!!

Those are my votes, but wouldn't mind trips to Arizona State, Boise State, Clemson, Oklahoma, and Washington.
