When I took the free trial membership last fall, I was sure I would cancel by the time I had to start paying. Didn't happen. Then I figured I would pay for a few months and probably let it lapse. Nope. I'm hooked. This site rocks.

Having been a member of FOS for many years (and still am) and 247 for close to a year, I couldn't be happier with the addition of CorE James. I don't post much on either site, but this made me want to post. He was always very accurate IMO (or as accurate as you can be regarding the minds of 16,17, & 18 years olds), and when he posted, you knew it was good information. When I found out he was leaving FOS last night, I thought that was a huge blow for them recruiting wise, and figured going up against Sean and 247, they'd have no chance. Then I found out he was coming to 247, I thought it was a homerun. Can you say juggernaut?
Guessing we still won't see a true avatar of CorE (I still picture him as Bill Murray from Caddyshack) - so what will it be CorE.

Glad I'm not the only one. iirc MTayl is like 24, but whenever he posts I picture coach McWhorter behind the screen. Then I picture rmj as a young college student with fatheads all over his wall of PSU DBs from the past. And then I just envision a young guy and gritty old man arguing back and forth whenever they go at it.

Funny thing is if it wasn't for PSULions17, I probably would have never gotten the wig jokes. I thought his avatar was actually him (but it was Grosz - who before I didn't know who he was - never belonging to BWI). So thank you PSULions17, for enlightening me (even though thats how I picture you).

Thanks to everyone for the welcome, including Sean and the rest of the Lions247 staff. This has kinda been a drawn out process in making the transition, and surprisingly one of the few secrets in the recruiting world that stayed pretty quiet for awhile. While I wish nothing but the best for my former FOS co-workers, I can't say how excited I am to be a part of Lions247. For those of you who know me, you can expect a recruiting notebook from me similar to the one I posted today on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in most cases. I do have a full-time job elsewhere outside the recruiting world, so that is why I think this is such a great fit with the time that Sean can put into covering recruiting and adding myself as a supplement. In addition, if you are familiar with my chats that I used ot host on FOS, that is something that I would definitely be happy to do here on Lions247, we just have to make sure that we can do it in a similar manner over here and that everything the tech people need to make that available is present....which I don't anticipate a problem with. I will often, maybe once a month, try to have a chat which I'm sure Sean would participate in as well to answer your specific questions and then have a few "special guests" drop by the chats as well in a moderated fashion. I'm always looking for unique and interesting ways to cover recruiting, to break up from writing articles and repeating the same type of information over and over again. So if you have any suggestions, please feel free to send me a message and I will try to implement new ideas as well. So in closing, thank you all for the warm welcome and I hope you are all as excited as I am for the direction of Lions247 going forward in 2012. Thanks
