Please join me in (officially) welcoming Cory James to the team at Lions247!
Cory was the Penn State recruiting analyst for FightonState.com for the past seven years, from 2005 through 2012. He has worked to cover Penn State recruiting as a part time job in addition to his regular job during those seven years.
I'm very excited for the addition, as Cory has been one of the best in the business for years. I know his work made me up my game through the years, and with this addition we will no doubt continue to give Penn State fans what we believe is the best product out there.
With the coverage that you've known from the start with Andrew and I, plus the recent additions of Cory and Jeff Rice, we're growing at an amazing rate and we will strive to continue being the place that you go to for you Penn State fix.
We're excited for the future and hope you can come along for the ride. As I've said several times, there's never been a more exciting time to be a Penn State fan, and this is becoming the place to be to enjoy the ride.

A note from Cory…
At Lions247, I plan to continue, on a part-time basis, to provide Penn State recruiting coverage throughout the year. For those of you not familiar with my work, I am a straight shooter in my recruiting coverage. If Penn State has no shot, I will say it. If things look real good, you will know it. My goal is for the subscribers to know as much as I know about recruiting on the record.
For any other information I gather on Penn State recruiting, I will try to shade in the gray areas and steer subscribers in the right direction as best as I can while holding strong to my sources. I also enjoy new and entertaining ways of providing information to subscribers. In the past I have always been willing to do a chat session with fans with some special guests. In addition, similar to Sean's 'S' Zone I tend to 'empty my notebook' in a weekly to semi-weekly 'Inside Cory's Recruiting Notebook.'
In addition, to support Sean, I will be providing instant updates on recruits for visits, commitments, etc. I feel that together with Sean and myself we will be able to provide the best Penn State recruiting coverage available for subscribers.
Finally, I hope to become a part of the Lions247 community as much as I have become a part of other communities in the past, so please treat me as just another one of 'the boys.'

Thanks to everyone for the welcome, including Sean and the rest of the Lions247 staff. This has kinda been a drawn out process in making the transition, and surprisingly one of the few secrets in the recruiting world that stayed pretty quiet for awhile. While I wish nothing but the best for my former FOS co-workers, I can't say how excited I am to be a part of Lions247. For those of you who know me, you can expect a recruiting notebook from me similar to the one I posted today on a weekly or bi-weekly basis in most cases. I do have a full-time job elsewhere outside the recruiting world, so that is why I think this is such a great fit with the time that Sean can put into covering recruiting and adding myself as a supplement. In addition, if you are familiar with my chats that I used ot host on FOS, that is something that I would definitely be happy to do here on Lions247, we just have to make sure that we can do it in a similar manner over here and that everything the tech people need to make that available is present....which I don't anticipate a problem with. I will often, maybe once a month, try to have a chat which I'm sure Sean would participate in as well to answer your specific questions and then have a few "special guests" drop by the chats as well in a moderated fashion. I'm always looking for unique and interesting ways to cover recruiting, to break up from writing articles and repeating the same type of information over and over again. So if you have any suggestions, please feel free to send me a message and I will try to implement new ideas as well. So in closing, thank you all for the warm welcome and I hope you are all as excited as I am for the direction of Lions247 going forward in 2012. Thanks
