Please dont be true--Silas Redd to USC..

This is unreal. You know I always kind of rolled my eyes when I heard people complain about the NCAA. But now i understand. What a currupt, self serving organization.

If you don't mind me veering off here about our situation, read this...this is the man who stood in judgment in our case.

Sadly, you fared even worse than us..

Surely you can't be serious. Silas owes nothing to PSU. He is free to go wherever he wants. Why should he have to deal with the consequences placed on PSU? How PSU sells themselves is their problem, not his. Who are you to say otherwise? Signing with PSU, I am sure he didn't expect this to ever happen. Since the situation did occur, the NCAA allows him to transfer wherever he wants. More power to him.

Thankfully you are gallactically uninformed ( see your scholarship post) and thankfully you are not Silas Redd.

When has the NCAA done anything fair, or logical?

After all, they appointed Paul Dee - you know, the same Paul Dee who was the AD at Miami, the dirtiest program in the history of the world, the one who said "high-profile athletes demand high-profile compliance" - the head of the COI that sat in judgement of USC.

They have their own warped sense of logic and justice.

I have no problem cheering them on. USC on scholly limit winning the natty would be bliss to me right now.

    Good luck bro. cheers

    Indeed.

Do us a favor and cheer for us -- be an honorary fan for the next few years as we attempt to get "revenge" on the NCAA for punishing fans, students, and current athletes instead of those responsible for the violation/crime.

I think I may do just that, ans since I live in Scottsdale, I'm going to make a trip out to see a game or two this year. Give 'em hell, Trojans!

  • Todd, we wouldn't be able to roll over schollies even if we didn't have sanctions.. It's 75 max for next year with a max of 25 recruits we can bring in.. The year after, 65 max and class size of 15 max...

Diddy, 75 is our limit for next season

That is stated nowhere on the NCAA site.

    65 scholarships for 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.

    15 scholarship recruiting classes for classes of 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017.

    Bowl ban for 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.

There is no scholarship restrictions for 2 years or the current recruiting class. We also have the ability to go to a bowl with a 65 man roster (twice actually).

@OptimumScouting: Just heard from source who has spoken with someone close to #PennSt RB Silas Redd that there is "no chance" he transfers"

...some guy commented though and claims Silas is leaving his house with bags and a ticket for LAX lol.

We would love him, but I have to say, I'm glad he's staying. You have to respect the high character kids who stick by their commitment made in high school, you will value these kids during this time of great pain, more than any other players in your history.

The best game of last season for us, was a game the kids lost....against Stanford in the Coliseum. The stadium was packed, and even though we lost, the entire stadium of Cardinal & Gold stood and gave our kids a standing ovation at the end for their valiant effort, they played so hard and with great heart.

Our coach sent a letter of thanks to the fans, and how much that ovation meant to the players and coaches in a close loss. Do that for your kids that decide to remain true and valiant, do that so they know how much they're appreciated and loved...no matter what the NCAA does to you.

    Well she is welcome here.

Thank you so much, it means a lot.

Any of you, if you are in Los Angeles any time during football season, and wish to attend a USC game, you are welcome to eat at out tailgate, and you're welcome to wear your colors proudly. No one will give you a hard time.

My friends and I are part of the "Thundering Herd" fans that line the tunnel of the Coliseum...the ardent USC fans, lol.

All you need do, is pm me here and let me know if you can attend, I'll make sure you're well fed!

  • The layout of the timeframes is interesting.

We play the next 2 years at full strength, but no bowls.

Then 2 years at 65 and no postseason.

Then 2 years at 65, but with postseason.

It's an odd deal but those middle 2 years are really the darkest stretch.

I may be off here but I think PSU needs to be at 75 next season (2013) followed by 65 for the next four (2014-2017).

You just tell them to remember what we went through..no one, and I mean, no one had a kind or respectful word for us. You rise above, not stoop to the level of others.

I hope they're not USC alumni, they should be better than that.

At no point do we need to be at 75. It goes straight from 85 to 65 in 2014.

So I have a question. How is Kessler and Temple doing, the local news hasn't talked about them in a while.
