It probably went something like this:
Bill O'Brien: "Hi Lane, Bill O'Brien" Lane Kiffin: "Hey Bill, I am sorry to hear about the harsh sanctions" OB: "Actually that's what I called to ask about. I understand USC has also had to deal with scholarship limitations." Kiffin: "Yes" OB: "Would you be able to offer any suggestions regarding how to overcome this recruiting obstacle." Kiffin: "Well you see, I coach at USC so we can just fill all 15 spots with 5 stars and 6'5" WRs. But, umm I guess just be more thorough in your evaluation process to maximize potential of all signees." OB: "Okay I'll keep that in mind (even though a 12 year old could've told me that). Thank you for your time Lane." Kiffin: "Wait, wait, Bill. I have one last thing to mention." OB: "Please" Kiffin: "Yea, by the way ummm i know your going through tough times and all. But I'm thinking Silas Redd, your unanimously best offensive player, would do us wonders over at USC." OB: F you Lane
But in all seriousness this would really be a shame to lose Silas. Hes a great kid and one helluva ball player.

Why would you be physically sick? Seriously is it that important in light of everything? You have no control over the situation. Silas will make the best decision for himself. First of all PSU can only have 75 guys on scholarship this year, as far as I know. So unless they had less then 85 players on scholarship, ten have to go, or choose To participate in academics only.

Any school currently on NCAA sanctions should not be eligible to take a Penn State player without a year off, and should in no way have any adjustments to their scholarship limit. You want to see the NCAA look like bigger fools than ever? It'll be when a sanctioned program can steal, with NCAA advantages, from another sanctioned program.
This is gonna be interesting to watch.......

If we are below the 85 limit this year, can we count those towards the future loss? Meaning we could lose 5 less down the road if we lose 5 this season? Because there is no way we will be at 85 with our players being poached, unless we pass scholarships out like candy to all the walk-ons.
