BUMP. I like this thread. Also...for the record Temple fans (at least their younger ones) hate us too. A few of the guys I played with in HS were playing for Temple, so I headed out to Philly to watch them play against us. Sat in the student section with my White on...so I knew what was coming to me. But at the same time, they made no effort to hide their disdain for PSU. One drunk girl went as far as to assert that Temple was a "better school".
...in the name of decorum, I let that one slide.

When people feel that the group they are in is looked at as inferior to another group were they couldn't gain membership they will naturally be resentful. Most of these fans were probably not accepted to Penn State or got into a branch campus and decided not to go. It's a shame that they feel that way because both schools, especially Temple, have some really great aspects to them some of which are better then what Penn State offers. If you look at the t-shirts that were bought in large quantities by the temple students for their home game that read "we are...fuck you" it shows an obvious disdain for all the local and national attention PSU receives.
