Quick and honest question and I know absolutely nothing about PSU's interest in O'Brien, but for the people who believe that these rumors of O'brien to PSU have legs....Why would this be made public info? I mean doesn't it seem a little strange that PSU has been extremely secretive regarding their search, but yet they would allow this to leak or that they would be so worried to keep everything so hush, hush but they allow the real candidates to speak freely to the media? Just doesn't seem to fit this search.
If you don't think that PSU has been throwing the media for joy ride after joy ride through out this search I can assure you that there are quite a few media folks extremely unahppy for being led to believe info that hasn't been true.

I said they have been right in the past week or so......and Munchak was our number 1...he just didnt want the job. Said he was contacted. Reports down here in TN said he even reached out to former teammates to see about coordinating positions.
All has been speculation, but they did get Roman right, regardless of the timing, even though EVERYONE on here said it was BS, and a smokscreen. Like I said, where theres enough smoke, there fire. Shefter is rarely wrong. I am holding out hope he is wrong in this case

Shefter just said he spoke to 2 sources, one was a PSU source, the other a Patriots official. Obrien not at practice today. NFL network said Obrien will be announced this weekend. There are no logical choice left.......add it all up!

There are plenty of logical choices left. Even Roman or Clements would be better than O'Brien, though neither that good themselves.
OK, has Casserly changed his report then? If not, I'd assume he still feels the same way.
Come on, look at what's happening. Why are these reports coming out right when NFL jobs are opening up? And why would PSU go after someone who not only has a poor track record in college, but is also waffling on whether he even wants the job? Why would Schefter first report it's a done deal 3 days ago, and now report that he's interviewing? Seems like backtracking to me.

It also doesnt contradict Sean....he said he "thinks" the announcement could come next week. And maybe it will. Or, maybe it will be this weekend. Who knows.
Why are these reports coming out right when NFL jobs are opening up......? Ahh, I assume becasue we we need a coach and the timing just happens to coincide. 3 days isnt a lot of time in between to say the deal is imminent, and then have them meet to do the deal....
All things aside, can we agree it isnt a colege coach, or at least that its VERY unlikely? And that Clements and Roman would be fails as well, bc taking 2 months to name guys of this level IS a fail? Roman has 2 whole years of experience as a COORDINATOR, and runs a putred offense! Clements was fired as OC of the Bills. Thats your team right? I mean, we all were expecting some homerun hire bc some dude on twitter said so. The bord insiders said so. Every name from meyer, to Saban, To Rickt, to Mullen was thrown around. Maybe one will be great down the road, but none will energize this fan base. It will be a major letdown.
Sorry for the rant,,...I am just praying for someone who will bring back the roar in PSU. Have been waiting for it for several years now....so pardon me for feeling let down. That is what the info is suggesting.

It says specifically the 247 tailgate organizers are responsible in NO WAY for supplying athletic cups for posters making brash claims/offerings of their own accord.
