13th game, the NZAA couldn't take that game away from us because it was scheduled before 2000, actually we have had a series with them at least once every 3-4 years, all our players the past ten years have had one visit to the Islands.
If the NZAA would have pulled the game, the University of Hawaii would have lost the biggest money making game of their season. The games in Hawaii are a big treat for the players, fans and alums, and we show up in large numbers...and spend money there. I can just imagine how many Penn State fans would show up for a game there!
Even if you don't get the extra game, you can extend the stay for your team to make it a very nice little mini vacation. Wish I could find the photos of the entire team laughing and enjoying the added days on the Island.
