The Pegula Ice Arena groundbreaking ceremony is today. A couple of things...
The Pegulas upped their donation commitment to $102M.
"Battista says they're about 5 years from playing an outdoor hockey game at Beaver Stadium."

Terry Pegula originally donated $88 million to start the program. He has decided to up his donation to $102 million.

THat is interesting that he upped his donation amount. Did not know that. Awesome to see, that is a lot of money, but then again that guy is worth like 3 billion.

A winter classic in Beaver Stadium between the Pens and Flyers would sell huge, I'd imagine it could come close to out doing the 2002 Nebraska game..

That would be crazy! The only problem I see with that is parking. All of the grass lot's would be covered in snow in early January & would really constrain parking. Still, it would be a mad house!
