'Paterno' Movie

I think many expected this to be a movie, even prior to this past year. After what transpired, it was almost a certainty. Now it appears that the movie has been green lit, with Al Pacino set to play Joe Pa. The book is based on an adaptation of Posnanski's book.

People will be pissed it's not all about Sandusky and doesn't make Joe look like a complete ass. But for some reason they'll go see it expecting that. I wonder who they will get the play Jerry? My vote is Dan Bernstein.

Really? Think about some of the adaptations that have come out. Red October, DaVinci Code, and many more that varied greatly from the book.

No movie is exactly like the book. Just depends on whether they run with the all to popular Joe knew and hid it or the actual facts which so far is yet to be determined.

I don't have an issue with creative license, but when they change huge parts of the story it really bothers me. BTW, I am someone that hopes Pacino is not the guy. As much as I have loved his work, his most recent interviews have me thinking he's flirting with the edge. I think he is starting to come off as pretty crazy.

Here we go again, most of the media driven spin of what really happened. Pacino not a bad choice, he looks much older than Paterno, but over actor comes to mind. As long as they don't make him say "say hello to my little friend"
