I am with you Philly, dog means motivation for PSU. Plus historically PSU has not done well in Iowa City, so the handicappers go with tradition, do not think you can do that with a new regime. Should be a good one.

I've been saying it for the past two weeks and I'll continue to say it...I think we roll in Iowa City. We have a different staff in place and this current team is as motivated as ever. It's a night game which doesn't scare me one bit because I think our guys will relish the opportunity. The only reason why we could possibly lost this game is if we are looking ahead to OSU the week after. PSU wins by 2+ TD's.

Ferentz always had Paterno's # b/c Joe was so predictable.
Conservative offense, bend but dont break defense, & hope your opponent makes a mistake
OB is not predictable
Except that you better be ready to defend for 4 downs.
I like Ferentz but I like OB better. PSU by 7

Yeah...had to be nice for Ferentz every year against PSU knowing exactly what we were going to do every single play. Most years it seemed like Ferentz was sitting in our coaches meeting rooms all week.

the funny thing is the predictablity is exactly what Iowa fans and sports heads are killing Ferentz for now. He does run a pretty vanilla offense. it doesn't help that they aren't very talented at the skill positions this year. D's can lock in on the run game because Vandenberg doesn't have great recievers to throw to but their TE is pretty skilled Fiedorowicz (or something). He's a great athlete.

ohh for sure. we have some very athletic linebackers that can play with most TEs in the country.

Agree. Though, I would not be surprised by anything between a 3pt loss and a 31pt win. In other words, I expect a 14 (+/-17) point win.
