Maybe a little of topic but I was looking at the 2014 Pennsylvania state football rankings and I noticed that Alabama a state that has 4 million people has more 4 stars players than Pennsylvania that has 11 million people.. Do you guys think that 247 is a little bias toward the south or what???....

I don't think so. Football in the south is tougher, and frankly, PA recruits don't often emerge until later. Alex Anzalone was unheard of until February of last year, Dorian Johnson was a 3* for a while, etc. This is a solid year in PA, there will be a decent number of 4* by the time the rankings are done.

I know the south has alot of talent but Alabama has never been know for that... Your talking 7 million more people to draw from and the creators of both rivals and 247 are from the south so I think you might be being a little naive....

Lacrosse takes over for minimal athletes in the rest of the state. Very minimal. At best lacrosse is the 3rd most played sport in PA for D1 football players behind bball and track.

in terms of the months i was referring to with winter sports, track isn't an option and basketball only has a few leagues going as well
