PSU gear no longer available on NCAA website...

  • Just saw a tweet and confirmed it myself, the NCAA has removed all listings of PSU gear from its website.

  • Good. Buy your PSU gear from the local stores in State College. No need to support the NCAA through merchandise sales.

  • Wow. Just checked it out myself. I personally don't care since I buy my gear from Lion's Pride, the alumni store or footballfanatics.com (now via 247sports). BUT...I hope someone in the athletic department cares and addresses it.

  • For those interested here is the link. It looks like Penn State has been erased from all categories except under the Big Ten, but when you click on Penn State you get this: "Oops. We couldn't find the page you requested and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." I'm sure ole Hot Rod recommended this with a swift agreement from Emmert the Clown. no

according to both bbb links on footballfanatics.com and shopncaasports.com they are both owned by fanatics, inc...this is definitely coming down from the NCAA since PSU merchandise is still on the footballfanatics.com website

  • I just called the toll-free number for the NCAA store and got a fanatics operator who had no idea that the NCAA wasn't advertising Penn State gear.

did this just recently happen? or have we not been on the website for a year?

I wonder if McGloin saying we never get a call, inspired Emmert to remove us from the website.

laughable, but scary..........doesn't look good for reducing sanctions. I think we should call NCAA and the clothing website and demand why.

  • It's clearly all sold out.

  • Are they selling USC gear? Or other school's with sanctions?

    Yep. Answered my own question.

Flood the dickhead's email and keep flooding it with anything the NCAA fails to do.

  • UPDATE: was on the line with customer service and he checked on it and said its a website error and will be corrected shortly.

Who knows if it is concidence or not, he seemed surprised by it and put me on hold twice to check. We'll see when we are back on.

  • Just spoke with a guy at Football Fanatics. Here is a link to their website and PSU gear: (http://www.footballfanatics.com/COLLEGE_Penn_State_Nittany_Lions).

Ironically, the NCAA website lists the phone numbers for Football Fanatics. What's up with that? The guy at Football Fanatics said that the http://www.shopncaasports.com/ website is probably a fraudulent website and should not be listing their numbers.

    Seriously, what's up with that?

IF you want to complain about the missing apparel/gear on their website, here is the correct link:

    http://www.ncaa.com/contact

    Flood the system, my friends!

BY THE WAY, this IS probably just a fraudulent website, now that I look at it:

HERE IS THE NCAA website: http://www.ncaa.org/ (note the ".org)

The NCAA.com websites say that they are part of Turner - SI Digital, part of the Turner Sports & Entertainment Digital Network.

Something seems a bit fishy to me.

I filed a complaint and requested, as settlement, an apology from Emmert to the PSU community for unfair sales practices. Also sent complaint to NCAA marketing, sales, ESPN press, and Emmert's office. They all blow. #EmmertBully

  • Folks, we should probably stop jumping to conclusions that every little bad thing that happens to PSU is part of some great conspiracy. Y'all are starting to sound a bit crazy. Sometimes it's just bad luck.

Hahahahahahaha, when is the last time you even heard a peep out of Dave Joyner? He is in way over his head with trying to run an ENTIRE athletic department. Yes, I give him partial credit for Cael and BOB but the person in that position need to also have some balls and not be a straight up tool "yes" man.

"Hey Dave, this is the NCAA"

"Oh yes, what can I agree to this time. I am sure my buddies on the BOT won't care as long as it sheds favorable light on us"

What an idiot. I would love to have a sit down with him.
