Tear down the statue, maybe. No reason to change the record books. JVP wasn't on steroids. If I was the university, I wouldn't erase JVP from the university until the perjury trials are heard, but I might issue a statement basically saying they are considering their options and will review it once Curley, Shultz, and Spanier? have had made their statements in court if they do testify.

Thats cool. That had to be one of the easiest defeats for me to swallow at the time. If we had to lose to anyone at the time it would have been to PSU and Joe Pa. Although it was a heartbreaker its a game I will never forget.

How do you guys feel as Alumni/Fans about Jay coming out in the media? I understand him defending his father. Some say that is agregious but, I disagree. I would fight for my Father as well. By the same token Ive heard some PSU folks saying they wish he would go away.

You'll get a mixed response here on Jay for a variety of reasons. I for one wish they would have released his letter a lot earlier and like their proactive approach.

I was going to say something but I dont want to be on your level and I also realize the sensitivity of the subject. If you think I get my "jollies off" from this situation you are dead wrong. How could someone get their jollies off when such pain and suffering for so many has occurred.

Im not bitter. My Dad has coached Highschool football in the state of Florida for 40+ years. He never pulled for a particular college or NFL team, but always loved and respected Joe Pa. I liked Joe Pa a great deal and hated when this came out. I just dont think that the record or statue should stay as I see it only a huge distraction for PSU to put this awful situation behind them.

No Im not. It was just a question. Some of the fans feel very strongly one way and others dont. Ive noticed my vote count go up and down through this whole thread. The only reason I asked is because if this had been uncovered lets say 2010. He would have never beat Eddie Robinson for the all time wins. He would have been fired.

I just got mine recently and was excited to receive it. The badge is a recognition of the commitment of the members to the site put together by the staff of 247. The staff has done such a commending job of covering college football, recruiting and everything else involved with the sport. I'm proud to be a part of this community and feel the badge demonstrates that.. If and when 247 comes up with another one, I will reconsider changing..

Cool, I respect the PSU community. Thats why Im intrigued to see the responses on this site. If this were FSU and Bowden I would be devastated as well. Just want to see how a Classy fan base responds to this during this tough time. Guys Im not some Troll. Look at the number of posts I have and my rating.
