Why would a one-point PSU victory be sipping the kool-aid exactly?

Because I've predicted a win every single game this year and I predicted a 7-5 record. I should have said continuing to, but honestly on a week by week basis PSU really should win every game. I could see this game going every which way.

  • I'll show you sipping the kool-aid..heck I'm bathing in it!

    PSU 37-10

    MVP: Belton (100+ rushing, 50+ recieving, 3Td's)
Interesting Stat Line: Miller is sacked 6 times
Off the Wall prediction: Belton takes one 50+ yards to the house

....i really like this matchup....on both sides of the ball.....our short passing game/te's(for the most part) against their linebackers and their inability to throw deep balls with consistency (lack of pocket passer). I think our D is exactly what you need to contain meyer's offense

I wish I could say that, but I just feel like this will be a typical defensive battle until it starts to open up at the end of the game. On the other hand, this is a completely different staff and this game could play completely different than the last few years.

  • PSU 42-31
    MVP: Belton (3 TDs - 1 passing, 1 rushing, 1 receiving)
ISL: OSU has less than 100 yds passing, but a lot (200+) rushing, with a few BS Miller runs.
OWP: See my MVP stat line. If that doesn't count, then I say PSU plays two complete halves, rather than the typical "great first half, then crap" they've been doing against OSU.

This is not your Joe Pa's offense. There will be no punting inside the 35...you will not see a ton of fullback dives and bubble screens. The first series will not be run, run, pass, punt.

This is basketball on grass. It's what Joe Paterno vowed would never return per his SI Interview following the Rosebowl.

OSU has yet to really keep anyone off the board so I'm not seeing that at all. I'll be shocked if that is the case.

    Ohio State 31
    Penn State 20

Says Miller is the "X-Factor" that we have yet to face this year.

Phil Steele has historically predicted our results rather optimistically compared to other "analysts."

He's either not a fan or Bill O'Brien, or not (yet) convinced. I hope he's wrong!

FWIW, Phil Steele didn't think we could beat Iowa last week and Iowa didn't even belong on the same field.

  • After an interesting exchange with one of his employees, I was told that Phil largely bases his picks off of his preseason predictions. This opposed to re-evaluating how teams are playing during the season.

The guy seems to have a successful business, but this strategy doesn't seem to be the most accurate.
