I thought the NCAA already stated they wouldnt re-investigate UNC beacause, get this, this doesn't fall under their jurisdiction.

Yep, we're the ones with the "culture" problem, though.

Apparently the NCAA's jurisdiction is now the criminal one.

I really hope that their Men's basketball team gets included in this. That would shake things up a bit on Tobacco Rd.

It's all a big joke to the NCAA, they stick their noses in when people clamor for big time sanctions, but when crappy teams break rules clearly defined by the NCAA and no one seems to care, the NCAA doesn't bat an eyelash.. Not to mention teams switching conferences year after year with little to no penalty illustrating a cultural problem in the entire sport. I wish a group of big time programs backed out to stick it to the NCAA

People need to understand something. This was Emmert's chance to shine for the nation and do "what is right". I can guarantee you he has bigger career goals than just heading up the NCAA and this was his way to make himself look like the strong leader he is pretending to be. UNC will barely get a second look IMO and if they do, they will lose a "couple" of ships and get some probation. A basic slap on the wrist for basically what should be one of the worst things you can do in college athletics. They basically setup a way for kids to cheat the system and stay eligible.

Emmert did this for him and didn't do it for the sake of the NCAA or any football culture. Anyone that follows college athletics knows the culture at most big times schools is FOOTBALL first and Emmert himself knows this. He found an easy out to look tough for the nation, but cheating can and will carry on with business as usual unless some big figurehead is involed. The NCAA needs outside resources to do their job and they didn't even have to investigate PSU or wait for the criminal trials to act. If you have the public behind you, you can pretty much do whatever you want. It holds true for just about anything and Emmert's stance on PSU was about Emmert. He wanted to look like the tough guy when he had the chance....and PSU was on the tale end of that. PSU's story had very little to do with football culture, in fact the football culture was better at PSU than any place Emmert has ever held a job.

Nothing will happen remember you can have fake classes as long as every one at the school can take the class. All students may sign up for the class but some how only football and bb players get into the class funny how that works.

Greggggggggggg Doyal the college football writer from CBS sports is working up an article on the UNC academic fraud case now. He tweeted that he's been silent on this for far to long. Should be entertaining. I know he's absolutely blasted PSU and Paterno for the Sandusky crap.
