Letting loose on the media a bit.

"I absolutely enjoy every single day coming to work here. I get up early, I go to the Dunkin Donuts. I get my coffee and I come into work. I watch tape, I meet with our staff, I meet with our kids, I do everything I can to make sure that Penn State is in the most successful position it can be in relation to the football program.

"Going back to money and all these other things ... you really don't know me if you write something that he did this for leverage or for money. At the end of the day, this is the decision I made ... I really like our staff and I like the direction we are headed. I have not asked for a raise and no one's ever brought up a raise.

"It gets my blood boiling when something tells someone else or writes something that it was about money. It was about doing the best job for my Penn State football players and football staff."

Nothing about beyond this season......

"We've had ongoing discussions -- I've talked 2-3 times a week with Dr. Joyner. Things don't happen overnight. Since the day I've arrived here, we've had many conversations about where we're headed with this football program and what are the things we need to stay up wiht the Joneses, so to speak. Nothing has changed in the last two weeks. It's ongoing and hopefully we can make the changes to keep the program moving forward.

Said he did not receive 1.3 million from Pegula.

Asked if he'd received bad information about sanctions when hired:

"I asked many questions. One of the questions was about the NCAA and what their role in this was going to be. It wasn't anybody that gave me bad information. It was that nobody really knew. I took somewhat of a leap of faith."

On reaction to Corbett's lawsuit:

"That's not something I'm going to give you my opinion on."

By the way, does this mean that Dave Jones actually fabricated an entire interview? If BOB never had/got/asked for a raise?

"The best football programs are always the ones that are thinking about ways to do things differently. I met with team at 7 a.m. and said 2012 season has been over for a couple months now. And we've got to create a new identity. Maybe tehre's new weightlifting equipment, or a few more guys in the recruiting department to help Billy Kavanaugh, maybe there's things in the marketing dept in relation to football.

"We can't just sit and stay the same. WE've got to be creative, think out of the box."

Just seemed odd. Went on to talk about Erickson/Joyner with some praise to them (not that I thought he would bash them, just the fact that they came up).

Then he went on to rip the media pretty good.

Now he's talking about how him and Joyner talk two times a week.

If NFL asked him next year:

"That's next year. That's a very speculative question. I anticipate being at Penn State. I plan to be at Penn State to be the head football coach at Penn State."

"Colleen is the star of the family. Michael and Jack are close seconds. We had a lot of discussions and we enjoy where we live, love the schools here, made a lot of good friends here, enjoy the staff and it's a fantastic place to live. It's great living in a college town. There's always energy."
