  • I am under the belief that the worst has already been released with the email leak. Is this report going to tear apart Joe, probably but in reality it will be a whole lot of nothing. I know it will piss many off but it is easy and probably not a bad idea to blame everything on the dead guy, someone the media cannot hound and interview and someone who cannot present a different story.

Something else I expect to be there: Joe played Anwar Phillips in a Bowl Game while he was suspended from for an alleged sexual assault. He was cleared of all wrong doing, but IMO Joe was dead wrong to play him while suspended from School. That might even be an NCAA issue.

But this would fall outside the 4 year window.

No, that's the dumbest thing they could do.

according to OTL, its going to be brutal on JoePa and the way he handled player disipline, opening us up to the NCAA and getting hammered with violations.

Do you really consider ESPN a good source of info regarding PSU? C'mon son.

The media will try to have a field day with this. It will be spun in any direction they desire as long as it helps them get ratings...Just like the leaks. It will be a long couple weeks.

Yep, the reality is no matter what the report says, the media will spin it to put PSU in a negative light as much as possible and there's nothing we can do about it.

To put in terms of Goodfellas, PSU is Tommy, the media are the made men that whack Tommy and all of us are Henry & Jimmy. We just have to sit back and take it.

True, however even if they are not actively out to get us, their reporting has definitely been putting PSU in the most negative light possible through the entire scandal. They're after ratings, and hammering on PSU gets them ratings, and I fully expect that to continue for the foreseeable future.

  • Why are people acting like the participants of this don't deserve media abuse.

I agree they are all about ratings. However, what positive light can PSU be shown in amidst this scandal?

Now tell me if it actually says anything.

Long as no one does some bath salts & starts trying to eat people.... But a mini riot would not shock me....

My guess is the tone will be Joe set up a sense that legal issues should be done internally and not externally

to me, the whole article focuses on getting down to what happened and making sure it doesn't happen again by changing the way the university operates. supposedly the report is also going to outline recommendations for what the university should do going forward.

  • Wonder if the report will talk about how the time Joe tried to sweep the Tony Johnson incident under the rug.

Nothing like driving down a one way street the wrong way at more than 2x the legal limit at 3AM in a Mercedes. But heck, it's not like he killed someone.

Thats the exact opposite of the conclusion to be drawn from this Vicky T stuff. He wanted legal issue that occurred off campus, to remain off campus. He never influenced those procedures. Judges have said that recently. What he wanted to do was he in control of discipline issues for football players. The idea that he was easy on players is idiotic at best, considering his infamous doghouse.

The only thing I care about here is if there is any proof that Joe or any of the PSU people were actively covering up Sandusky, and if there was any policies, culture, or lack of oversight that allowed them to cover it up.

That football is a target is amazing. This report should have been about the checks and balances within the University power structure that pooled this much power between 3 people.

Not at all. They are coming in hopes that the report is bad and they will see some more rioting. What they will get is nothing other than normal arts fest activities. They are going to be disappointed.

At least it won't be released tomorrow while no other major sports are being played.

It's not great timing at all ... maybe it was intended to be like this.

If winning was easy even losers would do it.

You mean by suspending him....oh yeah, that is what you must mean. I know all college coaches usually give the kids a year or kick them off for DUI's...please give us that long list? Joe was far from perfect and handed each situation differently, but what proof do you have he swept it under the rug? Was it the suspension or Joe not making the arresst himself?
