‏@Cordale10 Why should we have to go to class if we came here to play FOOTBALL, we ain't come to play SCHOOL, classes are POINTLESS

  • Wow, I read and heard about public schools that have employees that search kids lunches brought from home and determine if they are healthy enough for kids to eat. If they seen it doesn't fit the new government guidelines they won't let you eat it and make you eat a school lunch. One of the radio personalities here have her son a hostess cupcake as a snack and it was sent home with a note that he couldn't eat that in school. An elementary school student in NC who's mom packed them a turkey and cheeses sandwich, a banana, a bag of chips and fruit juice and it was deemed unhealthy and unfit and sent home with the child and a note a a school lunch bill. In return the student was given chicken nuggets!! A chicago school school has banned lunches from home and Detroit now spends $4.5 BILLION of federal taxpayers money to give all students breakfast lunch and snacks to fight a stigma. This country is becoming such a nanny state. This shit is scary. Government trying to take over every aspect of your life. Id love this to happen with my child, you'd see sneakypete on the news. Totalitarianism here we come and obama applaudes. Just pray the joke, lies and hoax of obanacare is overturned, that makes this tame.

Try to fathom the hypocrisy of a Government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured .but not prove they're a citizen

Relax sneaky, obamacare will be overturned. The majority of justices are conservative, and they hate Obama.

You are more confident then me. It should be overturned because its unconstitutional, which it is, and not good for the American people. Obama either flat out lied about things or doesn't have a clue what's in the bill and he is talking about. How can I relax with the direction the country is headed.

They don't hate Obama, the just respect the constitution and what this country was founded on and hate that Obama hates both.

There are a few who aren't embarrassed to admit they are dems. Maybe the others listened when Mark Twain said its better to keep your mouth shit and let people think you are a do than open it and remove all doubts.

Well I'm proud to admit I stand to the left. I do so because I don't believe in the right's religious, socially conservative agenda. Hopefully we can all be friends peace

  • I think it's a bit Overboard to say that Obama hates America.

Didn't one of the justices back away from his statement of backing down because he was afraid of who Obama would appoint to replace him? Maybe not, I may have heard wrong.

And people need to back away from the ledge with Obama. The difference between what happens with a liberal executive and a conservative executive is surprisingly small, despite all the campaign promises and criticisms coming from both sides.

And amendments happen all the time in politics, and especially on bigger bills. For some because they think it has a better chance getting passed under that bill and for others because they are trying to kill it. Obama likely doesn't care about the amendments, because that was his biggest promise and he had to have something to show the public whenever it came to be election time.

I'm not a democrat, but I'm not nearly as conservative as the people who talk politics (Obama) on this board.

Personal accountability is what you're talking about, and it's impossible to have with our form of democracy.

Nobody knows who is truly at fault for the shape our country is in, and so both parties point fingers at the other and day it's their fault. However when things go well, it's because of their party.

I agree with all of this.

The idea of 'personal accountability' creates so many hypocritical situations its not even funny.

Yes, its entirely possible if we stayed a constitutional republic like we were founded and avoided the very things our founding fathers warned about.

Republicans are very much to blame. If you knew me you would know I view them as a problem. I'm a conservative, NOT a republican.

Stop it, stop it, stop it (talking to myself).

Obama, and most lefties, hate what this country was founded on. Its why they do everything they can to completely move away from it and change. Look no further then Obama own words, bills, plans etc. he'll look at what Ruth Vader Ginsburg just said.

True, but we haven't. We've created a two party system that relies on both parties to create legislature. It's nearly impossible to tell who is really at fault and why, so both parties take advantage and blame the other.

I'm typically conservative as well, strict constructionist too actually, which is why I find it frustrating we have developed the kind of government that we have. It wasn't meant to be this way. However, now that it has happened, there's no turning back or changing it, it is the way things will always be here, barring any civil war or revolution.

Sorry sneaky, but that's just simply not true.

Most people probably don't remember what this country is founded on, but things like freedom, separation of church and state, direct representation, and direct elections are supported by a VAST VAST majority of both left and right leaning citizens. Where they defer is how to go about getting there or protecting where we have gotten to this point as a country.

By the way, hard to talk about "getting away from what this country was founded on" without mentioning the Patriot Act. Pretty much spits on the Bill of Rights, at least IMO.

I suppose you could call me a democrat, I tend to vote that way. Fiscal conservative, social liberal, so define me as you will. And there is no way in hell I am entering this discussion.

    gemrich

  • The right preaches personal responsibility which I understand but then they gum up the works by not allowing women the right to choose or allowing people to marry who they please. If separation of church and state actually existed, as the founding fathers intended, I believe DC would be a much less contentious place. We could argue about things that actually affect the way our country runs.
