    I'm not sure what it is about Florida and baseball, but they're the only state in the South that doesn't seem to care about it.

    You don't have to speak English to like baseball. Its hugely popular in Latin American countries.

    Its only boring if you can't appreciate the game. If you don't know what you're watching you'll get bored.

    Baaseball is HUGE in Florida. The problem is these teams were established too late and the general demography of FL itself. There are a TON of New York and Boston fans down there as many people moved there. Also a lot of the natives and northerners are big big Braves fans.

    But baseball is a huge sport in FL. They love it. Just not their teams.

    Well I don't live in Latin America now do I. Also, these no english speaking players are working in NORTH America, where we speak English.

    Its boring as he'll. I know what I'm watching and its boring. I understand and know how to play chess and that would be boring as he'll to watch too. Now, baseball isn't as boring to watch as golf or NASCAR but its not far

    Compared to MS, LA, AL, GA they do?

    EDIT: By the way, always thought it was funny that there are more Braves fans in MS than in GA.

  • I get irritated when people come down on our police officers, saying that they don't care about or respect others. Well, here is a story that clearly shows not all cops are in that category.

    This story involves the police department in the small hill country town of Fredericksburg , TX who reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the early evening in the Pedernales River near the state highway-87 bridge. The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.

    The victim apparently drowned due to excessive beer consumption while visiting "someone" in Kerrville . He was wearing black fishnet stockings, 4 inch spiked heels, a red garter belt, a pink G-string, purple lipstick, dazzle dust on his eyelids, 1/2 inch false eyelashes and an Obama T-shirt.

    The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.

    See there, Texas police do care.

    College, HS, and little league baseball is big business down there. My pop used to coach before we moved up here. In the 80s LL baseball was bigger than HS baseball has ever been here. They have big $$ to throw around down there and baseball and football get a ton of it.
