Was about to post something similar. NJ gets no respect nationally and never has. I think it's just because it's next to NY and can't compare. But what does?

Ugh, there's a decent chance, that I will be moving to NYC in 2 and a half years and I'm not looking forward to it. No desire to live there. I'll either be in NYC, Houston or Pittsburgh. It's prolly the only time in my life I will be rooting for Pittsburgh.

If you can live in PA you can live in Ohio.

I wouldn't say that. Ohio seems like an even more boring state than PA is. And it probably has more rednekcs too. Not to mention, I hate PA.

I'd live in NJ before a ton of states. Namely West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, etc.

If you ever lived in Memphis, TN, then it would be on your list next to WV....to be fair though, Nashville isn't bad (and I hate county music--sorry MTayl).

I prefer the feel of DFW over NY, but that's probably because its my home.

I don't really like NY that much, the attitude I get from people is a serious put off. I've been spoiled by southern hospitality.

Hah. I'm so used to people being dicks, when I go elsewhere the first comment is "Wow the people there are so nice." Interesting dynamic.

Kentucky is beautiful actually, I loved it the three days I was there. Ohio is the armpit of the world though, can't stand that place. Outside of Scioto I have no desire to ever drive through there again.

I agree, I just enjoy ribbing Philly fans.

Personally, I will never forgive Iggles fans for cheering when Irvin broke his neck at the Vet, but that's part of the rivalry and I try to contain that to football. I respect Flyers fans, and the only two real 76s fans I know are alright.

I understand why everyone does hate Philly fans. Absolutely obnoxious. The only Philly team I don't root for is the Phillies...and it's "OMG I LOVE PHILLIES!!!!!" every single day since 2008. Can't wait until they go back into mediocrity. I need a break.

I love NYC, think its the best place in the world. Another reason why I like living in north Jersey, I can get there in 25 minutes.

When it comes to Hockey I'm lucky. The RedWings are just F'n awesome and win titles. All the other teams I root for suck. Well, I guess the Tigers and the Lions are getting better but.

The RedWings are the absolute benchmark in that league. Amazing that a small market team can put up so many dominant years over such a long stretch. I miss having the Tigers in the AL East - ancient history. You pretty much couldn't have had it worse as a Detroit Lions fan. Just don't tell me you are a Michigan fan punking the board.

Houston is a fun place if you can afford it. A lot of things to do, and surrounded by terrible professional and collegiate (Houston is a huge aTm hub) sports, you should love it. biggrin

Stepan's name has been coming up as well, unfortunately. They would have to move a lot of salary to take on Nash - don't see it working.

He would be a tough one for me to part with. I've got no problem going to work with this team and trying for a Cup, its just how long can Lundqvist sustain this level of play. Its basically a question of do you want to ship off some valuable young guys for a proven scorer to add points or keep what we have, hope for a cup but if they dont win this year next year wont be much of a step backwards. IDK which direction I want them to go.

I love Dallas. Almost moved there a few years ago but, IMO, there is no city (or place) like New York in the country and I've been to pretty much all of the big ones.

Nope. I was born in Detroit so I like all the Detroit teams but I come from a PSU family. Both my parents went to PSU.

Was in Lexington for the Derby last year, had an absolute blast. Checked out the distilleries, the whole vibe was very enjoyable. Louisville wasn't as nice but Lexington was really cool.

Thankfully money won't be an issue fo us. I'm worried about the heat/humidity and I heard it's bad there.

However, if we move to Houston you can guarantee I will become best friends with the Little Couple.

I haven't been to a big time city I like better than New York, the only one that was even close in my opinion is San Deigo - it's just not a 'big' city. I understand that is probably a bias but there are so many things to do in NY in such a small area.

I was too, were you in the pit?

We went to Woodford (I think that's the name) Reserve for a whiskey tasting, and it was awesome. I like the weather there, and the people are nice.

People who have never lived there really can't comprehend the difference. There is more activity on a Sunday night at midnight in NY than there in any other city (including Vegas) on a Friday night.

Scottsdale, AZ was one of the best trips I've taken, granted I stayed at a pretty sweet place. Never been to Colorado but I'm trying to hit the slopes there ASAP.
