Penn State Football vs 76ers is tough for me. If PSU was playing in the BCS NC and the Sixers were playing in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and I could only see one...I have no idea who I would choose.

Gotten to any games this year? I luckily won season tix from the sixers, so i've been to every game i could make. It's been fun as hell.

    biggrinWhat a jerk.....

Have y'all put the franchise tag on Freese yet? You're going to need some help offensively now that Albie is gone.

Also, what the hell!?!?!??!?! Why did y'all let him get away to the Angels, of all teams? Now we have to deal with him for the next decade....

Wasn't worth that contract with our payroll. The Angels were the team I pegged him to go to if he left StL

Minus PSU football, you've had a rough go of it since AI left.

Arguably the most athletic guy in all of sports

Definitely in the argument--a few hoopster would be in that discussion...although have you seen that commercial with pro golfer Dustin Johnson dunking? He wants to be part of the conversation.

Speaking of most athletic---Toughest thing in sports (at least the main ones), in my opinion, is getting a hit off a major league pitcher.

I actually live in Hoboken right now but work in NYC. Decent setup so far for just graduating. You from NY?

I can't wait for him to pull a Vlad in our ball park, the career .400 BA., with an ungodly amount of HRs and RBIs..... and us still winning the division cool.

I don't blame you, the Angels overpayed, like they do with nearly every big name they bring in.

Yeah, guys overrated. He's scoring because Melo and Stoudemire are out, and nobody has much film on him because he's late coming on.

He'll cool off, and then fade away back into mediocrity IMO.

This is ridiculous. There were 4 other guys on the court that played when Anthony and Stoudemire were out. There have been thousands of players in the league since the NBA/ABA merger. NOT ONE has scored more than Lin in his first four starts (probably now five). He may cool off and disappear (or he may be an all-star for years to come) but to downplay what he has done is stupid.

Not yet, unfortunately. Thinking about going down to the Mavs game this Friday. Will definitely get to the Celtics game in March.

Since we had so many home games in the beginning, I decided to wait until they get more sparce. Good atmosphere at the past games too, but as they continue to win and there isn't a home game 3 times in 5 days, the atmosphere will be even crazier. Overall, I heard the games have been great...way better than in past years. 20-9...I definitely thought they could win the division this year, but even I'm a little shocked they are playing top 5 in the league basketball.

To each their own I suppose

I respect most every sport. I like some more than others, but all take skill to do at an elite level, and I can respect that.

This is ultimately the stance you have to take (and I take) when talking sports in a large group or on a message board. There is ALWAYS someone who has a really strong opinion for or against one of them.

A death in the family maybe would keep me from seeing PSU in that circumstance. The good thing is most or all of my family would understand. :-)

I leave NJ to go to work, yes, but I was born and raised in NJ. Only time I left for a prolonged period of time was to attend PSU.

I'm hoping to get down there early Friday and tailgate if I can get some extra tickets, I'll let you know if I can work that out. You'd be more than welcome to come get a little toasty before the game.

20 shots and 8 turnovers isn't great basketball. So Lin can score, great, but 8 turnovers and shooting as often as he does isn't really efficient offense.

He does shoot almost 50% from the field though so he is pretty efficient and he gets a good amount of assists to counter his turnovers.

  • Don't understand the hate for NJ. From PA (And hate everything minus the sports teams and State College), but NJ gets a bad wrap because of a TV show. Not that I want to live there, but it's not that bad.
