The prison show? I saw about 5 seconds of it a few years ago while skimming channels. Some guy giving the Farmers Insurance commercial guy a BJ. Heard it was a good show but my 1st wife was not a fan.

Yup, that's the show and its awesome.

Shavi, still watching The Newsroom? It's becoming very much the soap opera. Not sure it's going to last.

Edit: Just as I hit "post", Gabrielle Gifford's shooting comes up. That was my supermarket at that time. I was there 30 minutes before the shooting. Episode ended strongly.

Definitely becoming a bit of a soap opera, but the ending was great. A bit sad and pretty powerful. I do think Jeff Daniels is great.

    And Olivia Munn, just gorgeous...

Sorkin is a great writer and the dialogue is witty, but the liberal bias is starting to turn me off. From the tea party to Republicans lying about Obama's gun record. Now the Giffords shooting. You think they will talk next week how half the liberal world blamed it on a conservative for a week and it turned out it was nothing more than a mental loon? I would bet anything they brush right past that.

Munn is the only thing saving the babe quotient . Just not much eye candy there for an HBO show.

I'm very liberal, but my god is it over the top. Luckily, it bothers me much less than I'd imagine it bothers a conservative.

As for the babes, at first I thought the blonde was cute, but each week I think that less and less.

The fact that you are aware says a lot of your mental capacity. I think most people ignore it (namely reviews of the show that made it come across as down the middle). Good for you.

The blond looks like she is storing food in her cheeks (facial) for the winter.

At first I thought the bias was just against the Tea Party because it showed Daniels wouldn't pander to his own party, but it just kept going and going and going. There's a very obvious liberal agenda, no matter what any hack critic believes.

I was watching last night and went "has she had that baby fat all around her cheeks the whole series?" It's hilarious that you just said that.

like 3/4 of the liberal world, the show is also obsessed with Sarah Palin. I think she has been in all four episodes. I get she is an idiot and deserves ridicule, but since the election, she is a tiny political figure. And since all this takes place from the BP spill on, I don't get the focus.

Did you see Sonnen's latest? I guess Rampage started talking smack that Sonnen needed to leave the UFC now that he lost to Silva:

Sonnen responded by bringing up Jackson’s starring role in “The A-Team” movie, as well as controversial incidents in which he sexually harassed a interviewer and was arrested for hit-and-run in 2008 after losing his UFC light heavyweight title.

“Hey, Rampage why don’t you stick to violating female reporters, making box-office disasters and driving the wrong way down the freeway while you’re jacked up on Mountain Dew?” Sonnen said while working as an analyst on UFC Tonight. “Because you ’Page are not on my level.”lol

These two need to be opposing coaches on The Ultimate Fighter

Haha, yeah I saw the cips. Great stuff.

There are rumblings about that Sonnen is considering moving up to 205. If Rampage doesn't retire after he gets smashed by Glover, a fight between these guys is a possibility.

  • the UFC 149 card for Sat. is a joke. This card is almost as bad as a boxing PPV. This belongs on FX.

    Renan Barao vs.Urijah Faber
    Tim Boetsch vs Hector Lombard
    Shawn Jordan vs Cheick Kongo
    James Head vs.Brian Ebersole
    Matthew Riddle vs Chris Clements

I am not even sure I care about the Faber fight. Lombard is intriguing, but who cares about Boetsch? The rest of the card is a sham

Injuries completely ruined this card over the past few months. So much so that the UFC started offering refunds a couple weeks ago for people who bought tickets.

I'm still gonna watch though. The Hairrow is always due for an entertaining fight.

LOL for them offering refunds. I can't imagine how bad the PPV #'s will be. I guess this card is unusually weak, but it seems like all the under-cards are not what they use to be like a few years ago. Idk, just my impression.

I don't see Head putting enough of a fight up for me to care about that one

Cards lacking starpower doesn't mean a bad card. More often than not, these cards turn out to have the most entertaining fights, just not very meaningful fights when it pertains to title contention.

  • Anyone watching (or watched) the opening ceremonies? Other than checking out hot chicks from other countries, it's pretty boring. The dancing and music videos before the athletes' entrance was unwatchable.

After hearing that moron talk to Kevin Slaten yesterday, I don't believe a word he says. His only argument for anything is "hey, I'm the real deal, I've done this a long time, and I know a lot of stuff."
