Not that I enjoyed Tropic Thunder, but I want to hear this rant.

Its got Ben Stiller in it. Right of the bar you know its gonna suck and NOT be funny. Bens poor dad, the apple fell as far away from the tree as possible, he got none of his dads comedic genes. He's only been in 1 good movie and it was good in spite of him. Then you add in Robert Downy Jr and Tom Cruise and you have a real shit sandwich.

Ok. I won't tell you. But I "heard" some of those horrible actors had some pretty funny lines in it.

    You "heard" wrong :)

    You forgot Jack Black.

Edit: what is Stiller's one good movie? Anchorman? Please don't say Meet the Parents.

Jack Black has done some good/funny things in his time. His original Tenacious D show on HBO as well as the first Tenacious D album, both great and funny. High Fidelity, Mars Attacks.

  • I HATE meet the parents, it ruins everything Deniro has done.

I don't like Anchorman, don't find Will Ferrell funny.

Year One was bad enough to outweigh any good he has done.

  • Sneaky, soon you won't have to worry about these things. You'll be watching Barney and Caillou. With a daughter, I get to watch Dora the Explorer and Angelina Ballerina.

Although, both of those shows are more entertaining then watching NASCAR or baseball.

Back to School is just too good. I turn it on every time I see it on the guide.

And get ready for Handy Manny too! Every time I go to my brother's the baby is watching that show. Teach the little one some important carpentry skills early.

That has potential to be so bad it's good based on the title alone.

  • There's a whole genre of books like this now. I don't understand it. There's "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies" and "Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters" and "Android Karenina."

There are more as well. I think they're making a few more into movies just like the Lincoln one. I have friends who love them and others who say it's just the original books with zombies or sea monsters or androids. I don't really get it, maybe it's a way to get kids to read books and relate.

Sounds like people saw the success of the Lincoln book, and are trying to make a quick, lazy buck.

I didn't think such a thing existed until I watched "The Room" a few months ago.

One of the funniest movies ever made, done unintentionally.

Oh, it exists. You should watch the SyFy and Chiller channel. Hilarious movies. Classic movies.

IDK, I don't understand the whole vampire fad with kids. Then again I don't understand guys wearing skinny jeans and wearing clothes 2x to small for them. I felt bad for these guys at first, like they were poor and had to wear hand me downs that didn't fit. Then I found out they chose to do this and spent good money on it.
