I think it goes
1. Redd- He is the biggest loss although I think we can replace him with a mix of Dukes and Belton 2. Fera- Starting kicker and punter and he was good at both 3. Brown- He may not have been great, but he was a good wr and by far our most experienced. 4. Fortt- A good LB but not a starter. I think it will hurt more next year when he could've went to OLB and started next to Fortt. 5. Pollard- We need young DT's. That being said, who knows if he would've been better than A. Johnson and Dowerey anyway. 6. Buckley- Don't know anything about but any DB loss stinks right now. 7. Bolden, Haplea, Nowicki- Didn't need any of them anyway.
To me we lost 4 players that we needed and I think they can be mostly replaced for this year. RB is easy for a younger player to come in and play right away. As for Brown, I have seen other schools have freshman WR's and QB's come in and have better numbers than our SR's. Maybe our new staff develops young players at a faster rate and guys like Robinson and Lewis produce at a high level this year.
What do you guys think?

Different lists depending on whether assessing direct on field impact on psychological perceptions created:
From a psych perspective, and continuing the cloud going froward, Redd was by far the worst. His defection gave anyone else considering doing so the juice to do so. Had he stayed, that would have supported the message BOB, Rise and Rally, Zordich, Mauti, Hack, AB, et. al, were all putting out. Brown would be second on that list. None of hte others who have quit on their teammates would have the same effect as Redd. As far as on field impact, the biggest losses to date would be:
1. Douglas - quality player at a position of need and a 4 year loss
2. Pollard - quality player at position(s) of need; 4 year loss
3. Fuller - quality player at a position of need 9by the time he gets here) and a 4 year loss. Was he raised by parents? Seems very weak-minded based on his behavior the last week.
4. Fera - like losing two players at once. Good at both. Big drop to alternates.
5. Nowicki - would have at least provided OL depth for 3 years.
6. Redd - Very good back who may have stayed two more years. Had he stayed, we may have lost Lynch and/ or Dukes and/or ZZ, though. Good kid who could have been a Penn State legend. Bizarre decision, IMO.
7. Brown. Only one year left. Not that much better than the other options. Another bizarre decsion, IMO. I guess he wanted to feel like he was good enough to be wanted. Whatever ....
8. Bolden or Haplea - barring several injuries at their positions, neither would have ever made an impact except at practice.

Of the transfers how would you rank the losses?
