Something tells me this wasn't his first brush with "breaking team rules." Under JoePa, he'd generally give the guy a second chance and if he screwed up again, he was gone. other player's comments seem to indicate he wasn't exactly a choir boy while he was at PSU.

Notheing new to add to the circumstances behind his dismisal, but a poster on the other site claims his cousin is one of the coaches at Lackawanna College and Oakman is heading there to play. tifwiw

I think any new coach coming in to a school that has had any type of issues the previous years will have a short leash to start...Much like Urban Meyer did upon coming to Columbus letting 3 players go, 1 starter, 2 others played quite a bit...It sends a message to the team, fans and administration that they will run a tight ship. I like it, it's about time these college kids realize they are not above the school or the rest of their team...
