I used Fitz & The Tantrums on Spotify to start a radio station and I'm in love with it - Avett Brothers, The National, Of Monsters & Men, etc.

Recently I've been into - Hot Chip, Of Monsters & Men (Little Talks is a killer track), Tallest Man On Earth, Tom Waits

I think you may like a Playlist I put together on Spotify. Check it out. Let me know if you like it.

  • Pretty random. But I was listening the my local classic rock station and they played a song that I was digging quite a bit. So I looked it up and turns out to "surrender by Cheap Trick.

This is a rather popular thread on another sports forum I frequent. Just thought I would start it up.

So 247 what are you listening to?

    I will start off...

Quadrophenia by the Who. Probably my favorite Who album.

Matthew Ryan, Paul Westerberg, The Replacements, Neil Young, Alabama Shakes, The Hold Steady, John Eddie, Van Morrison, Springsteen, the Spinners, Hall & Oates, Mick Taylor era Stones, Warren Zevon & Roberta Flack. For starters ....

  • Not sure if anyone here listens to Portugal. The Man (if you don't...you should) but they just released a new track from their upcoming album produced by Danger Mouse. Its starting to grow on me but its definitely a new take on their sound and Danger Mouse's influence is clear as day.

Edit: Wow that is a strange video...

Absolutely. Beck, Black Keys, Norah Jones, Broken Bells. Love all the albums he's been a part of. As a huge Portugal fan I'm pumped to hear what they can do together.

  • Also, I guess I'll do some advertising lol Check out my girlfriend's brother's band... They are actually legit and are on Spotify... They were about to sign a major deal, then something happened... But keep in mind the drummer (my girl's brother) is straight 19 lol He was a finalist for the Zildjian drummer contest at 18, ?uestlove picked him personally for the Northeast region... The guitarist with the long hair is also 19. He is in a Guitar Center Blues Masters contest... Ok enough lol They are called Satellite Hearts. They play Philly a lot. Check them out if you are in the area... They have a FB page...

I like his new album as well. I can't download music where I am, but from what I have heard from the album it's a win.

I saw part of Timberlake's recent SNL episode. He's a better actor than singer, IMO. It seemed during his first musical number (which sucked), he was trying to be like Bruno Mars, who I think is really talented, but couldn't pull it off.
