It was about a year ago so I don't remember exact details. IIRC, playing videos became like water torture with a lot of buffering, and my system just slowed down overall. I couldn't figure out any problems, so I just switched back and things were normal.

The issue regarding video had to do with multiple instances of a plug in get installed and chrome gets bogged down figuring out which to use. Do a google search for the resolution, I fixed it in about 5 minutes.
I changed to Chrome when Firefox slowed down to a crawl and I haven't looked back. Chrome is so much faster.

I use Chrome as my personal browser, but have to test our software using Firefox. For those that prefer Firefox, but hate the frequent updates (and resultant performance degradation), give Firefox ESR a try.
