    I think we're all selling Paul Jones short here. As long as he is eligible I really think he has a great shot this year. "As we stand, right now, as we stand here today" he's eligible. We'll see soon enough I guess.

    I am not willing to put my money on Jones yet. He hasn't played in over 2 years and is going to be trying to learn a new playbook when he has already been struggling in class. Talent doesn't do anything when you can't stay eligible or remember your plays. I would rather have a former ACC Freshman of the Year, who obviously has a good head on his shoulders, in a similar system to what we are probably implementing. Even if he doesn't light up the world, I think DOB can at least be a quality game manager.

    That being said, I really hope Jones, or any of our current QB's, improve a lot and can battle DOB (should he choose PSU). And I don't think DOB could singlehandedly turn us into a BCS caliber team over night, but currently I think he would be an upgrade, and if not, then we have a good back up.

    A "great " QB? Let's slow down a little. O'Brien may be better than what we have, but "great" would be a little bit of a stretch in most people's opinion.

    That being said, he should start from day one, but cool it a little on the hype.

    Okay - appears some got a little caught up with my word choice of great..

    I will agree I may have overstated that to make my point that him coming here should have no effect on team chemistry... That said he is very good and IMO would be great compared to the QB play I witnessed last year. I have seen DOB play a few times and will say he had some great games against some decent teams anyway...

    I can't tell if he's just having fun with the process or he's legitimately interested in the Tar Heels. Like many others on here I still think he's all PSU, but he's definitely soaking it up during his time in Chapel Hill.

    "Restore the Roar" I'm betting that AB will bring more recruits to PSU. I love his attitude. Cam Williams got "cold feet" at the altar last year after the Sandicksky scandal raised its ugly head. I like the class of these 2013 recruits and what BO'B is doing to "bring back the roar"! Ya gotta love the character of recruits like Breneman!

    I know everybody says not to worry but the more schools this kid sees the less chance we get him. I think its as simple as that. I guess we'll see what happens on the 31st but I thought this kid would be ours by now. Hopefully his mom loves the place as much as he does.
